Yeah but even in the second tier of English football our attendances are the same or slightly higher than the combined attendances of both Rugby League clubs and they are playing in the top league.

We've never had much success here, we only got to the top tier for the first time a few years ago. In that environment I doubt any place would build up a great tradition of support. In the golden era of football supporting back in the late 40s/early 50s we could get 40,000/50,000, maybe the prices were more affordable then as well

 

Though some of that can be due to management as well.

 

Quite a few sports teams have been in Hull, so you could easily say it's a sports city.

 

Well not quite the 2-0 I expected which was disappointing but we will take the 3 points.
