Certainly was. Superb entertainment. What sort of catch was that by Maxwell on the boundary? Brilliant.
Second one should've been six. He threw the ball up on the field than stepped off the field. Rules state his feet need to touch the ground in play before he catches it and they hadn't! Not that it mattered in the end!! Similar thing Happened in the New Zealand odi where a player positioned himself off the field, jumped to stop the six and pushed the ball back into play. Although they had to adjust the score to give England six for that one as no one was sure!! Have to say that this summers cricket has been some of the best I've ever watched for England. Regardless of what happens on Sunday it truly has been awesome. Some of the best games of cricket ever. Hope it makes the sport more popular
What?? Bastards cheating again?? They can`t help themselves can they? ****s. Where`s that twat Aussie. Answerable imo edit: yes pissed.
Great game, but the Aussies are still cheating toe-rags! Claiming a catch behind for a ball that had bounced on the ground, and on replay looking distraught when they didn't get the decision.
The one you quoted wasn't. It bounced first before wade took it. He knew it did too! The one on the boundary was fantastic work but the rules state that his feet, once they go over the boundary, have to touch the ground in the field of play (at least one of them) before he touches the ball again. Not denying fantastic work and they weren't cheating but it should've been a six mate
To be honest. I had to dig for around three hours last night to find out (I couldn't sleep) and found it on a qa thing on the ecb. Took ages to find and Can I hell find it again!!
It took a lot of finding but it definitely is right. As I said. V New Zealand England had their score adjusted as a player stood off the field, jumped to stop a six then landed on the field after the jump. Because his feet were off the field and didn't touch the ground inside the boundary before he had touched the ball again, the touch counts as if the feet are still outside the boundary. Same principle here as no foot touched the ground. Thing is, it looks as if they didn't know this on the field!
Ever been on the piss and had blackouts? That was me Friday nite! Just realised I bet terry 200 on the Manu game. Lol what a ****ing stupid **** I am.
Really poor umpiring first over, don't think he got any decision correct including the 4 he gave to Roy first ball,he got nowhere near it
