Got great bass on them thou , but overpriced yes He has earnt god knows how many millions more selling his headphones than as a music artist
please log in to view this image Haven't seen the film yet; all my mates have. I do like West Coast rap, though I probably wouldn't were it not for me playing San Andreas as a kid. I'm not gonna lie, that's the only reason I started listening to it.
I preferred The Jolson Story. Larry Parks carried the part extremely well, with Jolson providing the vocals. I also liked Jolson Sings Again, but not as much as The Jolson Story.
Saw one of the edgiest 'Straight Outta' memes on Facebook the other day. I'll get banned if I post it though.
It was produced by Dre and O'Shea so it was always going to be selective. As a film it's excellent, great story, good acting and well shot, but as a biopic of N.W.A its not that accurate at all, they left out all the controversy and for good reason. Take it with a pinch of salt and enjoy it for a what it is and it's fine.
He's earnt more selling headphones than most musicians will ever make in their lifetime. He's a buisness man and a good one at that but his influence on popular music over the last 3 decades is still one of the most significant of any artist which should never be overlooked.
Straight Outta Compton might be an entertaining film, but it's a whitewash of events. Which is ironic.
Agreed, if you watch it as a film it's great, if you watch it and think you know the history of N.W.A then your grossly mislead!
I don't know much about them either beyond that nearly all their records were bought by suburban white kids acting hard in their bedrooms.
