Just thinking (dreaming) about what I would do if I was fortunate enough to have won the £161 Million on Euro Millions! Yes I would plough a huge chunk of cash into Ipswich Town and insist that the club only use the money for investment in the players and the stadium. Personally I would buy a couple of houses, a few cars and all the trimmings and still be able to live comfortably on just the interest.

I would be interested to know if my fellow Townies would plough money into the club and what would you spend the cash on?

I wouldn't want my money spent on the stadium. Each time we've done that our fortunes on the pitch have suffered.

I would put money into the club but I would say that if we hit agreed targets such as promotion within four years I would want a return on my investment.

I would start by renaming the South Stand "The Sir Alf Ramsey Stand" and the Britannia stand "The Johnny Wark Stand". I would buy the land that the stadium sits on and ensure that it remained in ownership by the club. I would write off the amount of money I gave as a labour of love!

If I won £161 mill, this is what I'd do with it roughly.

£100 mill to charity, lets beat cancer and the likes.

£30 mill to Ipswich to cut the debt, however I wouldn't fund players like Lee Martin / Priskin etc's wages. No chance. That was the chairman's fault, I'm all for giving players who deserve their money money, but these 2 no. Martin is finally coming good but a 4 year deal for a Man Utd reserve what in gods name were we thinking.

That would leave myself with £31 mill. I'd give £15 mill away to friends / family / local businesses to help them survive, leaving me with £16 mill.

I hate the fact the winners of euromillions are fat slobs. Actually, I don't. Their the kind of people who will waste all the money and pump it back into the country. Going to the takeaway 3 times a week, buying bottles of Coke / Iron Bru. Ridiculous !!!!

Fine sentiments, JWM, but what would you do with the other 160 and a half million? ;)

To be truthful - if I won 161 million at this moment I'd be spending 100m on aid for the worst famine in over 50 years.

Well I would buy Norwich City and turn it into my little play thing and with the rest of the 160 and a quarter million I would blow some on fast cars and even faster women! The rest I would just squander! <laugh>

I think I'd be tempted to buy the land the stadium is on, but after that nothing would go to the club. Once I'd done the customary ridiculous spending, I think I'd be tempted to whack some money to several different charities.

But before everything else, I'd give my family an obscene amount of money just because I could.

Im with you Boot of the d. There's no way whilst I'm alive that any of my money will be going overseas. Why should I help, when their own leaders and governments are mugging them off, ie, the likes of mugabe and the pope, sitting pretty with all their billions.

Think I might just buy up the unsold seats each week and have them handed out for free in the town centre on match days so we get a full house and plenty of atmosphere each game!

I would do the same as JWM, buy the budgies and slowly and systematically sell everything off and watch the club freefall into oblivion, that would be worth anything just for the entertainment value. secondly I would plough 30 million into the club on the proviso it went towards transfers and youth team development.
