2 tough away games and 2 tough homes games with a free hit in the League Cup. How many point will we take from the games. 4 from the two aways I'm happy with. No reason why we cant take all 6 at home. And beat swansea. September is going to be a good month. Brighton v Hull City 0-2 Cardiff v Hull City 1-1 Hull City v QPR 3-1 Hull City v Swansea 2-1 Hull City v Blackburn 3-0
I think two points from those away games wouldn't be bad. We have a lot of games in blocks of two at home and two away. More than usual.
Going to be a big month. If we can get wins against QPR and Brighton it really sets up a positive start to the season. A Cup run might also help get the confidence up, so trying our hardest against Swansea might be to our benefit.
7-8 points from those league games would be a good return. No reason of course why we can't get more than that.
Magic number for promotion is 90 points, as long as we can stay roughly on that target it'd be good. So 8 points from those games would do.
Bit of psychology needed here, Chazz. Tell her that you've had a rethink and feel that you'll be better off going on your own, as you've recently being experiencing a few 'issues' that you want time alone to work through. She'll be booking, accompanying and paying before you can say 'mid-life sexual curiosity'. Bring us a stick of rock back.
Weekend down south around the Brighton match. Ground tick as well. Can't wait. Tough match. Reckon a hard fought 1-0 away win.
Brighton v Hull City 1-1 Cardiff v Hull City 1-2 Hull City v QPR 0-1 (This is Hull City - things never go smoothly) Hull City v Swansea 3-2 Hull City v Blackburn 2-0
I thought dropping back to the Championship was going to maske it easier to get to games. Brighton, Cardiff, Forest so so, Mk dons, Brentford and Bristol!! so its December until we have some easy aways Leeds n Rovveram.
We should beat Brighton 3 or 4 nil. Same with Cardiff. QPR will be a bit tighter maybe 2 or 3 goals to one. Blackburn will be a party 5-0. Anything less than 12 points would be tragic imo.
Brighton 2-1 City Cardiff 0-2 City City 1-1 QPR City 0-2 Swansea City 2-1 Blackburn That's an optimistic prediction, it's a tough month.
My wife was happy to sign up to spending next weekend in Brighton, timed entirely to enable picking up our youngest from Bestival on the Sunday (he has to be back in a hurry and was considering cancelling). I'm just being a good father helping his son. Saturday morning will be early enough to drop football into the conversation after a leisurely breakfast. Such has been my verbal chicanery over the years, my wife appears to be very unclear about the relative frequency of "all ticket" and "pay on the gate" games. I'd like to say I'm not proud but I am a little.
Brighton v Hull City - I'd take a point right now, as I would in any of our away games. That said I think we'll nick it 1-0. Cardiff v Hull City - If Slade is still in charge when we play them then we'll be fine. 0-2 Hull City v QPR - For some reason I always get an uneasy feeling when we play QPR, so I'm going to go 1-1 here. Hull City v Swansea - Difficult to know how to take this one, if we're on form from the previous 3 games the momentum could do us good, if we've not done so well I can't see us winning. I'll say 1-2, lose in ET. Hull City v Blackburn - They're not the team they used to be and they're not doing so well. They've yet to win, we're at home. So naturally if they haven't won by the time they come to town they'll beat us. 1-1 I'm going to say. So 8 points from those games, not the end of the world and allows us to get some momentum as the schedule starts to pick up pace. Of course, the loan window opens on Wednesday so that could factor into our opposition and ourselves.
