I take no notice of the papers. They're all a crock of ****e. Let them print what they want - they will anyway. News has no interest to the journos.
The fact that they only mention Sunderland and not the number of clubs that did worse than us this transfer window shows that they're more interested in taking a personal dig at the club rather than actually reporting the news. Being based in the South they probably find it easier to pick on the northern teams even though some teams more local to them did worse in the transfer window such as Arsenal, and because the scum are off limits we're the next target. In my opinion they show our club and it's fans no respect. Surely we should have some say about who we let into the stadium so if they're going to keep writing this kind of stuff we should be able stop them coming in. If anything the management should be doing to try and stop it anyway because it makes the club look bad to people who don't know as much about the league and that's not good for business in terms of signings because why would a player from a different league with no experience in England choose to sign for a club when one of the biggest newspapers in the country is making it out to be no good.
I think it's part of the Mag agreement to discredit us. It's only started since their partnership was announced.
Don't ban them, just make them eat their own print at the end of the season starting with October 25.
I read an article today about what the media and pundits thought of everyone's transfer dealings and rated them accordingly. The mirror had us down to finish rock botton of table. Talksport in 19th and various pundits said we had a poor window. The chronicle saying we have no width or pace up front!! So are they all wrong or are we deluded?! I think we had a very good window but far from perfect...
well worth the read http://rokerreport.sbnation.com/201...t=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
I think that we had a good transfer-window,and still say that we should ban the rag that is the mirror from the SOL.Wa"""rs!!!
We can expect plenty more snides and snipes now they`ve been bought by Ashley. They`ll be constantly licking round his arse. So much so in fact, perhaps they should change their name to The Daily Rimmer. Much more appropriate.
Tiz have you any l;inks or idea where it was so I can dig it up? I'd be interested to see where they think Newcastle will finish and how they've had a fantastic window having spent over £51m Nett and increased their wage bill by £9m and not signed a centre half which was their worst position last season!!
@marcusblackcat http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-window-power-rankings-20-6360071 To be fair they have the skunks at 16th and Arsenal at 8th so it's not even necessarily a case of bias. they're probably just thick. that RokerReport article just made me angrier but increased my sense of justification.
Marcus i think it was a link on facebook mate. Either an SAFC banter page or it could have been roker report? Read that many recently can't be sure. Re the above link with the mirror, it's the tone of what they are saying and sarcasm..
I've neva bought a paper in a good few years. Can never understand why we are able to read them online for free...
