Odds stacked against him . Unlike beginning of last year many people against him. Have to do better than Rambo.
I've no complaints so far about FSG but I would expect them to act if Rodgers continues to hit amazing levels of fail.
I said before the season started that this is make or break for him for all the reasons mentioned above. We want top 4 but it's a big thing to ask in this league. For me, the performances are crucial- I'd rather we missed out on 4th whilst playing improved and enjoyable football than endure a season of ground out wins like the first 2. Having said that, I would like to think that the style of football I want to see would bring us a top 4 place anyway. What would FSG expect? Imo, 2nd option and they'll keep him - 3rd option might see them happy to stick with him for another year.
Don't think cups will save him. Far too much money and time given. Just can't see any excuse he could give that they wouldn't respond with exactly that. We gave you the money, we gave you your 4 years...
If we play like arse and limp into 4th because some other side implodes he'll rightly be sacked. If we really hit form, the new signings settle by xmas and we look like a solid team but miss out in 5th because the other 4 are just a bit better, he'll rightly stay. It's not a computer programme that will decide his future, it's people who can look at all the factors and make a judgement call.
I have a feeling a strong Europa showing might also be a big factor. If we do get top4 and were utterly hopeless in Europe, I think it might be a nail in the coffin. We need to be able to compete in the CL once we get there.
Awful wasnt it and the Europa Best fixture ofthe season coming up and we warm up for it by getting battered at home and then a stinking International break
We need to make sure if/when we are back in the cl we buy only quality this time, not ****e we could have got with no European football of any kind.
Hmmm...............FSG head on.........top 4 or he's gone.........domestic cups won't save him...........UEFA cup could with a final appearance maybe. He could be gone by Christmas if were pisspoor............then again he could take us to higher than 4th...........its a possibility
They have to listen if not football reasons but for commercial reasons. They want returns on their investment.
Anymore performances like the one against West Ham and he will be gone in November with Klopp, or his brother Clipperty, in to hit the transfer market in January if necessary.
Yeah,I would imagine FSG are monitoring things on a monthly basis and keeping a close eye. I wonder if there has been any contact with Klopp or his agent over the summer
