It looks like very good business to me - the kind we had come to expect from Cotterill. I do agree with Angelic's comment above, but those two with Flint provide a serious physical presence at the heart of our defence, that reminds me of Arsenal's impregnable back 3 of Adams, Bould and Keown. Now we just need someone who can stick the ball in the opposition's net
Interesting to see that one of our main rivals for survival (PNE) signed Eoin Doyle from Cardiff yesterday on a season long loan, and also snapped up Stevie May from Sheffield Wednesday on a 3 year deal.
Sound like good business and cheap at half the price when we were prepared to chuck £9m at Gray plus wages
no Angelic, as we could have recouped some if not all (or more) of the Gray money when he moved on again. Whereas the £2-3 million (Watford are reporting it at closer to £3m) is just money thrown away in a season. 4000 season ticket holders contributions on a player who might get injured and not play. Or might sit on the bench.
Not if he scores **** loads of goals and gets us promoted. But like everything, it's a gamble. But as someone once said, if you don't buy a ticket......
