I've mentioned this before of clubs like Spurs and Liverpool. Credit to ManU [can't quite believe I'm doing this] but they behaved very well indeed with Sadio Mane. They enquired about him, were told politely that he wasn't available and they went elsewhere. That's the way to conduct business.

Liverpool and Spurs are our direct rivals. It's suits their purpose perfectly to weaken us by unsettling players that they pray upon and cherry pick them once they decide it is time. In doing so they instantly widen the gap, or that is the intention, because they strengthen themselves and weaken us.

It's one thing to cherry pick from a club which is willing to talk [Celtic is a prime example]. It's another to unsettle and undermine a player so that he can't focus on his profession. And it is so easily done. I could do it, you could do it. One just talks to the agent, promising X amounts, in money and frills, more than the player is getting already. Plus you offer the agent a huge bonus if it all comes off.

If Saints ever started down that road I would think very badly indeed about them. Spurs need to be investigated over malpractices. It shouldn't be allowed and my sympathies are well and truly with WBA and Berahino today, besides ourselves. Thankfully, we've learned the lessons, but we didn't come out of it entirely unscathed. Alderweireld very suddenly got himself diverted. OK, he was never our player, but I still smell sharp practice from Spurs.

actually I respect him for that choice, he went for the unnoticed ball winner and defence protector ahead of the glory boys.
As to his credentials to be England manager, Hodgson has always done well with mediocre teams.

Oh dearie me, a tedious retarded WUM has turned up to channel his anger at the fact that his donkey of a chairman couldn't sign a single player that he wanted. Or even sell one. He's upset that he supports a team run by an unpolished turd of the highest order. Not just incompetent in private but, today, probably the biggest laughing stock in the game. I feel for you, HIAG. Poor baby. I hope we can help by being the butt of your startlingly intellectual WUMmery. Go on, give it your best shot. Oh, was that it?

Now now, you poor dear, dry your eyes. You've had a bad window, but an 8th or 9th place finish isn't so bad.

Don't you know Vin, he's Banta Claus....the Archbishop of Banterbury. Nobody can stand up to the might of his magnificent wit.

Excellent point Al, though I wonder how much is to do with identifying targets, versus a complete inability to do the necessary to land them.

Former champion of the Banterweight class, though the rise of Twitter and online games with voice chat have seen him fall a few pegs down the rankings.

The thing about Spurs fans is they are the only ones that can't see when they look like complete twats.
