Everyone always seems to whinge that we never unearth an Andre Gray/Wilfried Bony/Sergio Aguero, and then we sign a lad who could potentially be and everyone whinger a bucket full that it's not Andre Gray/Wilfried Bony/Sergio Aguero. I wonder what everyone will have to say when Huddlestone finds his form again and starts bossing the championship? Should have given him away in the summer? Doubt it.
I bet you a million quid that Huddlestone will never boss any league of football ever again, if he ever did before
On the Huddlestone theme, off topic I know but Bruce should implement Juande Ramos' strict diet regime for Huddlestone that was flagged up as working years ago, if he was a bit more mobile it would make a world of difference not just to him but everybody else playing with him
no i am saying lets say he turns out to be a great find. id prefer that we have a release clause that is more than a couple mill that way someone doesnt come in and get him cheap. relegation has nothing to do with it
3 year contract is it ? If a) we've anticipated correctly that he's going to help us to promotion, than we should be including a buy out clause at least 4x what we paid for him, if not more. If b) he's rubbish and doesn't work out we won't care, nothing gained, nothing lost(peanuts spent). c) If we're relegated, and he's done ok (but not spectacularly), 2 mill-ish would be a good buy-out clause . All I was saying is best to go for a much higher buy-out number than you're suggesting. A low one to him & his agent at this point in time is not a sign of confidence in both his potential or in the ability of the club to move forward & upwards. Sends an uncertain message. d) No buy out clause may be the right choice at this time as he is an unproven entity in our level in England. Should he start off brilliantly, that's when you (the club) would initiate a contract revision dialogue.
But i never actually suggested an amount just that i hoped it was more than a couple million. We are not in any sort of disagreement.
Is Dio the new Geo? Will Bruce use Diomande in a diamond formation? Has Norway produced the next John Carew? Find out next week in the latest episode of Tiger Totty... Don't miss it!!
I've only been on his back here and I doubt he reads this or would care anyway, always support all the players when I go.
POV from a Norwegian: Diomande is fast and strong, and can create stuff on his own. Physical player. Think he will do great in Championship. And as he just said on Norwegian TV: Next goal is to get Hull to Premier League!
Hi Kaaregarnes! Hope we pick up some Norwegian fans from this, all are welcome for the Black and Amber Army!
Hey, I have been a semi Hull City fan since 2004 I think. Met a guy at a gig in London, and we exchanged shirt from our local teams. Got a white away shirt I think and the joy of following Ian Ashbee captain Hull through 4 divisions! That one season Stuart Elliot scored for fun!! Was it 27 goals? Let's hope Diomande copies that! and stays away from religion!!
Hi Kaaregarnes & welcome to the board. Are you part of the group who go by the name Arctic Tigers (a Scandinavian City fan group) on Twitter? Febbos is a Swedish City fan but dunno if he still posts much.
