Seems to be our new central defender. Not normally in my nature to write players off but this is a pathetic piece of business, especially as he has supposedly been rejected by Norwich, Sunderland and Bournemouth. Seems like a stop gap to me but still, good to have competition I guess even if he doesn't seem to be close to being better than what we have.

With that said, if the deal does go through I wish him all the best. Maybe he can surprise the entire footballing world with some good dispalys. Can't say I have seen him play so I'll keep an open mind...

Would give my support to the kid. He is an underdog and nothing is expected of him.
Surely he cannot be worse than Mikel, if played at DM.

Wish we'd sign someone with a surname that can be pronounced.
Can't say I saw this one coming, smacks of panic to me. Hope the young bloke turns out to be a great player and doesn't go out on loan to Outer Uzbekistan Utd.
On that note, why would we lend Moses to the hammers and give him a new contract?

West ham have loaned Moses with an option to buy haven't they?

Apparently Jose hadn't even heard of this new guy when he was asked about him haha. That can't be true surely?!

That's what worries me, he is clearly a "oh **** we didn't get our main target, lets just get anyone with two legs who can play in that position" signing.

In fairness though, I know nothing about him (Including how his name is pronounced) so I will reserve judgement till he actually plays, but it doesn't really fill me with excitement.

A realist would write him off immediately without knowing a thing about him.

I assume youre not a realist.

Better than signing Stones, in my opinion. This guy's a big lump who'll keep it simple, modern defenders like Stones simply aren't Mourinho's style.

Sky reporting we're signing Michael Hector from Reading as well. We're going mad.

One is okay but Michael Hector too?! I don't mind a couple of million on a guy from the French but I don't think we should be looking at 4m on a championship centre back....

We only need one and then a midfielder. This season is going to be a struggle.

Apparently we've had bids turned down for Marquinos as well today!!

Jose's answer to our poor defensive record...play 8 centre halves!!! <whistle>

Chelsea will be Hector's 13th club if he plays for you! So odd.

I agree with playing the youngsters but I don't think Roman will have the patience needed to bring these lads on. Could mean a couple of trophy-less seasons. Can't see him putting up with it personally.
