If I was him I would now tell Real to do one.

He wont obviously but that would be the right thing to do. Theyve took the piss out of him.

Wow. What now then? Will you play him? Is there any chance he will sign a new contract or will Real just wait til next summer now and sign him on a free?

As he'll probably be going for free next summer, I'm sure other vultures will be offering him a contract. So I wouldn't be suprised to see someone like Barcelona steal him from Madrid. Then Madrid will really regret not just paying the money in the first place, rather than trying to be clever about it, to get him on the cheap.

The good thing is it wasn't our fault, so hopefully De Gea will see that, and you never know he could sign a new deal. He knows if he signs a new deal with us, he'll earn treble the amount of money this season, than he would do if he doesn't.

Maybe we could put a big release clause in there, so if Madrid are after him again next season, then they can pay a much bigger fee for him

There's still some ******s trying to pin the blame on United entirely though. Madrid just released an hilarious statement blaming us for things like not opening negotiations earlier or accepting their laughable offers...

The idiots in thr media are lapping it up lf course as are the ****wits on here though the numbers are dwindling.

Ballbag said something interesting today. If all our summer signings were made today, people would be looking at it differently.

So let me see........Real Madrid can be seen to have gone through the motions of a transfer, they have shown DDG how much they value him (by virtue of the ridiculously high fee for someone with a year left on their contract) and have demonstrated added commitment through their perceived willingness to release their No 1 keeper as part of the deal. Having gone through all the motions, that wily old fox Perez has decided to listen to those 80% of RM fans who want to keep Navas rather than pay too high a price for DDG.

A few minutes of delay (which neither side will be able to prove absolutely wan't their fault) and now Perez gets DDG for free, saves £29million and gets to keeps fan favourite Navas.

We, however, have been shafted in as much as we can't get a replacement keeper for DDG without paying the earth, DDG will never be trusted to put the gloves on for us again (do you want him to be saving a CL quarter final penalty when our next opponents might be RM), we are left with Ramos and the ****e stirrer Valdes and DDG gets a meaty signing on deal in 12 months.

Yep, we really did well out of this one ...................................

Can't you see its all our fault. How dare we not accept whatever offer real did or did not make and how dare we check over the details of a contract worth millions.

How dare we do everything right. Woodward out, van Gaal out, united out!!

    Hala Madrid, those lovable rouges.

lol, whether United or Real are to blame, what he has said is true.
Losing DDG for nothing is no hardship for United really, they have plenty of cash.
Its whether DDG can get his head together and play for United this season that will decide whether this was bad or not.
If he does, then its no big, if he spends the season with his head up his arse, costs you points then leaves for free come seasons end, it will be seen as disastrous.

He's a professional footballer and aiming for the Spanish number 1 spot. He will have to work to get back in the team but anyone who thinks he would purposely **** us over in any way, is not only a dickhead but knows absolutely nothing about football.

We set a price. Real knew it and messed about. They can make any statement they like to cover their arse but the reality is, its their fault entirely.

Real Madrid are an embarrassment to football.

Stop making stupid ****ing statements like this ffs <doh>
You know this because of how ****ing tight you are with the guy right?
    He's a stand up dude!

And anyway, who says it would be on purpose? Stuff like this can affect players.
Though I doubt he would go out and say "**** United, I am gonna **** em up" it may still have an affect on him

    You are literally ******ed.
Where did I say that he would **** you over on purpose?
I said he may have his head up his arse. ie it may **** with his concentration and ruin his game.
I even explicitly stated that he wouldn't just say "**** United" but it may still affect him, how did you read from that that I am claiming he will **** you over on purpose?

Quit back tracking. You made a frankly laughable suggestion and were called on it. You cried.

    We can move on now.

Only time will tell how things pan out this season with De Gea, but I can't help thinking that it would have been good for us if the deal went through.

The Real Madrid fans where huge admirers of Navas, so he must be pretty good aswell. So we'd of got 18 million and a quality keeper, where as now we have an unhappy player for the season, who will probably go for nothing next year, and we'll have to go out and buy a replacement.

That is looking the most likely scenario to me at the moment, and if that is how things pan out then it won't be great for us

    Shhhhh everything will be perfect.
De Gea will be back to his excellent best, and as the cherry on top, will decide at the end of the season that he wants to stay and tell Madrid to **** off.....

    Welcome to MetthinRed World.
