Very honest, very well assessed and very much to the point. We were struggling long before the sending off happened. AN's right to point out the 3 previous good performances though.
AN certainly doesn't pull any punches in his post match summaries. I'm sure the trip back from Southampton was not a pleasant experience for the players.
Thanks HR. This just emphasises the fact how good he is - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...ail_their_screen_test_for_alex_neil_1_4214514. Our next game is going to be INTERESTING!!!!!
I don't really understand this thread- he said we were ****e and Southampton were better, and there should not be performances like it again. what else was he meant to say, how does this make him a good manager?
Honestly, it doesn't make him a good manager (although he is a very, very good manager). But how often do you hear Jose and Brednan saying **** like it was a 'fake result.' Neil doesn't say that bullshit which is refreshing to hear.
agree wholeheartedly. in view of our first three games,in which we deserved to take 7 points, the performance was awful. i think we would have lost anyway, but whitts let the team (and the fans) down big style. he is good going foreward, but poor in defence, i am sure we will bounce back next week, but it is great to be one of the few teams with an honest no nonsense manager
I agree, I absolutely love the guy but it was hardly rocket science what he came out with was it? Do you think there would have been a thread dedicated to Hootun if he had given this exact same post-match interview? Actually there probably would have been, however it would have been criticising him for daring to say that Southampton had been the better side!
Oh, there it is, didn't see the little Hootun dig before I posted, should have guessed it would be there though
Alex Neil is totally honest with the media in what he says after a match. That's all it says. No biggie. I like his style though, its refreshing when compared to people like Mark Hughes.
Yeah I like the way AN is honest and don't make up excuses, doesn't try and blame a loss on someone else (could have easily done that with our first game but didn't) Just tells it how it is. Unlike most managers who throw their toys out off the pram when they lose and then maybe blame it on the medical staff...
Give him a chance, I guarantee there will be no bullshit, not that that will appease all the canary callers posting on here!
It wasn't a Hughton "dig" it was a fact, thanks for your smug git comment though I forgot you're always right
Roeder also spoke his mind, everybody loved it until he told a few home truths about the home support. People love a pointy finger until it's directed at them. Amazing how forum members blow with the wind, two weeks ago it was all "in Alex we trust" and "McNally knows what he's doing", now he's ****ed up the transfer window and AN has lost the dressing room. LOL. No wonder we used to burn witches......maybe we still do.
