Like many I'm really disappointed with the lack of quality business this window. I had high hopes after the Adidas deal kicked in that we would have used the huge cash injection to plug the gaps in the squad and make one or two marquee signings to help re-establish our place in the PL. The business bods at the club knew the money was coming since the Adidas deal was agreed in 2014, they had ample time to work with LVG and the coaching staff to identify the positions where we needed strengthening - and still nothing has been done to secure a first-class GK or a striker, this when we are competing on so many fronts for the first time in years. To have not strengthened in those key areas - particularly after the glaring failings in the last few windows is nothing short of criminal. Woody is good at what he does best - driving the commercial effort olf a global brand - he doesn't do transfer negotiations and imo we need a director of football to take over the role.
MEN say £29.5million plus Navas. If that is correct then I will have to, grudgingly, give Woodwood credit as it would be a good deal for United.
Doubt it. If this is true, it is a great deal out of a bad situation. I too will have to give Woodward credit. But big If !

Manchester United 7 mins · Chicharito has completed a permanent move to German club Bayer Leverkusen. He joined United in 2010 and scored 59 goals in 157 games, winning two Premier League titles. Everyone at Old Trafford wishes him well for the future.
From SSN - The Mirror are now reporting that young James Wilson could now be leaving Old Trafford, to join West Brom on a season-long loan. Please God no.
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT STORY FROM SKY. It seems as though the David de Gea transfer is going to go 'down to the wire' and here's what Sky Sports Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has tweeted about it: "Accord. to de Gea camp, when Utd offered a new deal to him spring 2014, LvG stopped it as he prefered Navas. But will Navas want to come? "The de Gea transfer is so complex with Navas in the middle, the goalie (very nervous)+RM are not sure there will be enough time for it 2day. "As soon as Navas agrees to join United, the rest will fall into place. Navas did no join the national team yet to decide today on his future." -------------------------- Deal now done. €40m LVG gets his wish. This can only be some malicious rumour.
I call bullshit. How could LVG have put a stop to De Gea signing a contract in Spring 2014 when he was nowhere near the club I'm a critic but not fcking buying that
LVG was already in negotiation with the club in spring when United decided to sack Moyes. But I do not believe that story as the Spanish media are famous liars to favour their clubs like Real. Correction: story put out by De Gea camp
What's our all important net spend? It's confusing as so many players have left and a couple have come in! To recap. Out Hernandez - £9million Januzaj - loan Evans - £9million De Gea - £24million In Navas - Free Tony Montana - £65million
