can`t help thinking the only way the would get anything like the money they are after for the club would be to get us back up, surely common sense would dictate they spend a bit to be competative

Interesting perspective on how competitive we really are from a PNE blogger after Saturday's match... http://www.lep.co.uk/sport/national-football/exclusive-sean-gregan-column-1-7435514? Hull are fresh down from the Premier League, awash with parachute money and it was always going to be a very difficult game there. What PNE have to realise is that they are not going to be playing teams with Hull’s wealth and quality every week. Looking at their squad on Saturday, Tom Huddlestone was only an unused substitute. I’m sure he is the type of the player who clubs in the Premier League will be after, yet Hull could afford to leave him sitting on the bench.
Yes but EPT is referring to when/if we get promoted. If the Allams keep the money we get for going up it would reduce the amount they need from selling the club to get their money back.
You're completely correct, but most things I've seen from the Allams have convinced me that they have no common sense.
Been following this conversation and only using yours as an entry, Tuckin. Brady is the only improvement I would attribute to SB, but how anyone can use his set pieces for that is beyond me, as our set pieces are ****e and have been for a very long time. His improve has been his confidence on the ball, his covering and a gradually better quality of passing - he can and will improve further. Chester has always been decent, Dawson gave him a quality he lacked. The rest always had it and Bruce has, at times, been confused by it.
On the basis that last time our signings looked frigging awesome, and turned out to be...less so, I am adopting a view tomorrow of anyone who doesn't blow my socks off might actually turn out ok. It'll be alreet I reckon.
