I think the exclamation mark might just be slowing down the transfer of Virgil. Things were goings smoothly until someone decided to put an exclamation mark in the thread title, and from that moment on the deal is dead in the water. Down with the exclamation mark!
Who has though? 'Back in the day' the one position England was always strong in was Goalkeepers, but there seems to be a real dearth there atm, I'm not convinced by Joe Hart at all, but he's head and shoulders above the rest
Looking at the signing on picture he looks to have big hands, you know what they say about big hands? Big gloves.
One tiny little long term injury and you've written off Fraser :-( Not to mention the fact that he's quite tall actually... Unless you were talking about Joe Hart's shampoo?
We don't seem able to produce goalkeepers...perhaps the emphasis of the Academy is elsewhere. We haven't had great success even when we bring them in half-grow'd. Let's hope we have more luck with Harry Lewis.
Tim Flowers was probably the last goalkeeper to establish themselves who was not immediately purchased as a first choice and that's about 27 years ago
