Liverpool must be laughing at us What other club would pay 10mil for a player who has not improved since leaving us I give up on our scouts / director of football,we're a joke.

Even if he is the same player he is worth the money. Remember fletcher was 12 million and look at the current prices being paid. It's a fair price for me.

It's 8m million rising to 10m. If we end up paying 10m I'll be over the moon as that means he'll have been a success. 8m is good deal day before deadline.

I'm off back to the feel good thread. Much better in there.

we had a bid of 14m accepted this time last year, therefore we've got him at almost half price...........what's not to like :)

9 million for Wickham, 8 for borini. Yeah, dof is ****e. Wickham is 2 years younger than borini, and shows half the passion, half the work rate, and half the talent. Brilliant work by congers imo.

Borini is better than Fletcher and Graham, with Lens and Defoe we will be ok, now Dick must get a central defender in the next 24 hours.

It's 7-8M with add ons up to £10M, we paid more than that for Wickham. At least we know he can do the job.

Man Utd are about to pay £36M for a 19 year old who cost Monaco £3.5 just 2 years ago.

Checking to see how happy/sad/worried/keen Da is after the window closes will be the gauge on how our window was. Looking forward to the season now. Maybe the defeats were a blessing in disguise? Get Ellis off his arse?

Borini IS a positive. He will get a few goals and take the heat off Defoe because opponents now have to watch both of them, plus good balls to them from Lens / M'Villa or Tio will be appreciated and used. Moreso than to Graham or Fletcher.

I can live with winning each game 4-3.

Surreal but quality signing. He showed by staying put at Liverpool he rates himself and won't shy away from a challenge. He's coming here to play regularly, get in the shop window and earn himself a big move. Can only be good for us.
