Se I think the price is probably bollocks and paper talk! I reckon it'll be less but still more than I'd want to pay. He improves us no doubt

The thing he brings is a willingness to play left and back track which should help PVA - despite DA's posturing that Defoe will play where he's told to he just doesn't track attacking full backs, it's not part of his game - look at Naughton's run for Swansea's first goal.
I think Congers will start to sort out youth contracts once the window is shut. Regardless, given his age I think we'd get compo for Dunc in the unfortunate event he does leave at the end of his contract unless he's not classed as home grown since we got him from Altringham - did he sign on youth forms or pro?

    Great post.

He told us no from the off. Gus just could take no for an answer. Ultimately Fabio had every right to stay put and fight for his place. He owed us nothing. He shouldn't be blamed for Poyets delusions. The lad has never done anything wrong. In fact what he did for us was give us memories we'll never forget. He improves us and we could get to run around doing this at the derby.

According to the BeeB, Fiorentina are still in the mix, and Inter probably aren't out of it.

If I was risking a few bob, I'd put my money on him not coming.

We'll see won't we, there're both better clubs so I'm waiting for the delusional arrogant abuse he gets if he picks them.

You can't really get 'known' centre forwards for less than £8m these days really. 8 + add ons if that's right is no longer a big fee - Premier League inflation last year to 18mths has gone stupid. At the price I don't think you can get much better. Good signing for yous.

Us or Inter / Fiorentina. Hmm that's a toughie. Wouldn't blame the lad at all.

    It's like Groundhog Day again.

It's on twitter left right and centre that Borini is already in Sunderland, also word is Fletcher to Celtic is apparently back in. It's a bit hectic, trying to find the original source for Fletch

Oh Tuscany or Milan are wonderful places, and they are big clubs likely to have Euro football.

That said, let's consider the fact Fabio has an English wife, maybe he wants to stay in England cos SHE wants to stay in England, maybe that's why the deal to Inter wasn't quickly sewn up.

He came to England twice, remember, he clearly likes it here. Mad ****.

I like it here too. Been around a bit & have more miles on the clock than a London taxi.
But the North East is my home, I'm happy & I love being amongst my own.
There's nowhere I've ever been I'd choose to live over this.

This would be an awesome situation!! Borini in fletch out? No brainer!!

While we're at it lets go stick £5mdown for Alonso man! That'd be an almost perfect transfer day

If Borini comes, the only place that he can fit for me is in Defoe,s place. Not sure if it,s a plan to lose top scorer

It would, though I'd like to think Borini is Wickham's replacement and that Fletch would be replaced by a target man.

Not at all. Defoe is only one ahead of lens remember (league goals not the cup against a div 4 side) but Borini is far fitter and younger. Has a good brain but it's a squad game

Apparently there was a 'medical reason' for the Ramos deal not being pursued? When the **** did he have a medical between scoring for Dortmund yesterday?
