Once the window has closed, there is nothing he can do at least until the January window. Does he really not want to train with the team and play matches? Saints is bigger than one player.

Morgan was well loved and, when he decided to play again, everyone was nice to him because they wanted him to stay. Do you think Morgan would have refused to play in a European match that the team were desperate to do well in. Wouldn't boo Victor...unless I thought he wasn't pulling his weight.

The trouble with being a bit ITK Beef is that you need to clarify when you make comments like that about whether you have info, or it's just instinct!

Can talk all he likes....will he really get sympathy within football. Just hope he doesn't do anything to damage his career....mind you if Osvaldo can keep finding teams to buy him......?

I haven't read all the posts on this thread so sorry if I'm echoing other opinions. I think it's naive to refer to players as if they somehow betray the club by trying to forcé a move to a "bigger" club in order to get more money and enhance their profesional status. Why on earth should they feel loyalty to any club in a system that teaches them that there is an unlimited amount of money in the pot and they should make the most of it if they can?

On one hand, I hope Saints make our point and make him honour his contract. On the other hand, I`ve always thought him as over-rated, dating back to his time at Celtic. The timing of the event so close to the end of the window is disrespectful, and really pisses me off.

Indeed Aberdeen, agree with you - equally pissed off - but nowadays all part of the game I fear.

When we signed Wanyama, I felt our midfield was weak and I was tired of getting bullied by some of the bigger guys who occupy the middle. I feel he has given us strength and I never fear anyone in the middle anymore. However, watching Romeu and JWP in the middle today makes me think about what Wanyama costs us. That is, without doubt, speed on the counter. We scored ZERO goals on the counter last year, despite all our pace, and Wanyama is probably the most guilty of slowing us down when we're on the ball. So... I'm torn. I don't want to lose his power. He's the backbone of the team. However, I would like to see us become more flexible on the ball.

So... basically... I don't have a clue how we'd do without him... but I do think we'd be okay.

We'd be fine but there's a principle at stake here too.

Oh, I know. We CAN'T sell. But there may be repercussions regarding his form and his selectability (if that's a word!).

Yeah, but for how much less money each time, and how long does it take before the next club gets fed up with him.?

Its pretty close to the wire. I think there is something in employment law meaning that the employer can be in breach of contract if they don't let the employee do their job and I'm sure that the old 'rot in the reserves' thing has been brought up in that context succesfully before!!!

Reference the potential for fans to boo Vic, I would imagine the chances are fairly high that some will.
I'm not suggesting it should happen, but Vic is not known for his passing ability and as soon as he starts conceding possession you can bet there will be some on his back.

A few fans booed Morgan after his return folllowing the infamous twitter rant.
If fans boo Victor then fine with me as it's their right.
After all the away support at Vitesse practically sang his name for 90 minutes.

It's a shame Vic has potential retired his own song(at least for a while)

    He's a ****er
    A mighty ****er
    A Victor ****yama
    A ****yama
    A ****yama

Wanting to leave, well that's his right, but unsettling the squad & putting the club in negative headlines is unforgivable, especially at this crucial time of the season. I just don't know how this situation can be best resolved now. What a fool this lad has been.
