We really do need Olsson back as Brady does a job not nearly as effective at the top level.

Didn't deserve anything from that game, we were piss poor from the start. But every team will play a few bad games in a season, we'll move on and hopefully get a good reaction in the next game.

Although it's a shame we have to wait 2 weeks, I'm sure all the players will be eager to put it right.

    Hopefully it will be 11 v 11 and not 10 v 12 <doh>

    Dave

Even without the sending off it felt like the Saints had extra men. We were slow, laboured, sans ideas, almost lethargic - our out ball today was a hoof to Jerome and we just didn't look interested.

Well done to the Saints thought

Whittaker is a liability. He was caught for speed and out of position so it results in a foul and worse! My heart is in my mouth and has been for ages every time I see Whittaker attempt any kind of defensive duty! We cannot go on fearing he is going to gift points to the opposition at this level much longer!

I agree but their first goal scorer should have been off the park before Whitts., he was saved by a homer referee!

I think Whittaker is the right player for home games against the lesser or teams of the same level.

He can get you on the front foot and he played a blinder in the playoff final.

I guess it depends what people want? Attacking FB's or a more defensive setup. A la Hughton.

I would say that he gets caught out of position too often and away from home I would look at something a bit more solid:

If you were a standard run of the mill average midfielder you would fancy a run at Whittaker every time!

Have to disagree, bloody Whittaker gave it to them on a plate, mindless sending-off, should be fined 2 weeks wages and left out of the squad for a month!!

We were by some distance 2nd best long before the sending off.

In excusable performance by the majority of the team, I thought Bassong was only player who played well. We absolutely struggled against Mane but he was aloud to run riot today.

Agreed, and Saints themselves were only barely average in the first half, which makes it even more alarming

Quite - this is most alarming, though I am sure AN has bought himself a lot of time to get things right at CR.
