Cheer up everyone. The u18s beat QPR 9 - 0 today,

Four for Lookman. He scores a lot of goals for a midfielder. Hope we get him locked into a contract soon. I would hate RD to lose the chance to sell him for a few hundred thousand next year.

I wouldn't describe Mola as a midfielder..... he is more of a winger <ok>

How did KAG do yesterday? Sounds like it should have been a character building afternoon...

I guess with the number of decent central midfielders available 451 is a viable option when we're low on strikers; Big Mak and Igor can play up top alone, Watt can but in what I hate to call 'the false nine' role, but I'm not sure Reza or KAG would work as lone strikers. 451 is really dependent on width though in my opinion and requires proper wide midfielders. It could work with Bergdich and Gudmundsson although he'd be best off behind the forward in this scenario; perhaps Cousins wide right for this system to be a solution?

For me, there's no need to beat ourselves up to much after our first defeat. There are question marks about why we have so many injuries (nearly all up front) so son into a long season, and three days to bolster the squad. Again it's so early, but it sounds as if we have the players to play some good football, but a squad which is'nt going to withstand an injury crisis, so we need a couple of goo signings before the window shuts on tuesday. Time will tell.
Now we get two weeks to lick our wounds, and prepare for the next assault. For those who knock Makienok, it sounds as if his injury knocked our game plan into a cocked hat, so lets hope he (and Igor) bounce back fast.

I personally thought he looked lost a lot of the time. You can see he has a good attitude, but he really needs a loan spell in league one. Though being our only fit striker, I don't see that happening.

Actually, that seems to be when a lot of players get injured. Look around at other clubs. Something to do with them all needing different pre-season preparation, I suppose. We had three first-choice injured, and three more who would have made the squad. That is no worse than most clubs and better than a few. The problem was that most were up front, but that is just coincidence, like when Arsenal were struggling to field a defence at times last season despite all their resources.

I see Reams has turned on Duchatelet and the team following yesterday's defeat <laugh>

Not only is the clown bi polar, he is about as consistent as a bucket of week old puke.

All I would say to the Ra Ra Brigade about their pin up boy Roland is that his so called "investment" in the team left us without a recognised or fit striker for 75 min of a Championship game yesterday.

    Pathetic. Scandalous. Negligent.

There is more chance of AHLL shagging Gemma Arterton than Douche Bag leading Charlton into the PremierLeague.

Apologies if the question has already been asked but... how did James Henry play yesterday?

Worth pushing the boat out for...?

Good, not spectacular. Seemed to divide opinions yesterday on whether we push the boat out.
