Something like that. If it's obvious he's getting too old we then don't exercise the option, but I'd say strikers are probably at their peak until about 32 these days, so even if we give him a two year contract we would get the best out of him. He just won't have sell on potential, but then you need to buy players at their peak sometimes rather than always train them up for someone else to have them at peak. Then we can try for Afobe in January or next summer when Wolves clearly aren't going up (although we'll probably miss out on him then...)
Have to say I didn't see this coming, happy enough with it though. I wouldn't have wanted to splash out millions on him as I'm not confident he'd make the step up, but a loan deal for a season sounds a great move. No doubt we'll have paid a fee and will be covering his wages, but it won't be a massive chunk out of our budget so I think it definitely makes sense
Very true. I still don't know anymore about him that a pic of his Fm15 stats, and 3 YouTube videos. Looks like he will bully, create and score a few. Any help with goals from strikers at the moment are essential.
Yea, not bad at all. Shame none of the youtube videos I found were of the latest seasons. Not sure how he's playing lately.
Looks a bit 'Drogbaesq' to me and he was still banging them into the onion bag well into his thirties
I thought he reminded me of Adebayor at Arsenal/Man City from the highlights I saw. When he made an effort and ran at people.
It's a bit strange that other sources haven't picked up this story, but perhaps they were distracted by the actual football going on.
Have heard about Mings suffering an injury on his debut for Bournemouth today it reminds you of how no matter what you spend it doesn't take much for it to be sidelined. On a side note was disappointed to see people on the pinkun forum finding his injury funny, surely not what we go to football for.
Going back to Mbokani, the following is a Rob Butler Radio Norfolk interview about Mbokani with an African journalist who seems sure he is coming to Norwich: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0312dln
What makes you say that? The African football journalist interviewed in the link above says the opposite.
Bayern to offer £18M for Seamus Colman!?....What on earth?! That was from the Star, but earlier in the week I saw him linked with PSG, which apparently Everton rejected. I do like him a lot, and he is quality..but the best teams in Europe?
