Fair play, I didn't see the game. Not on the subs bench at least.

We should have demoted Rodgers and made him work under the guidance of an experienced manager, he hasn't got an igloo how to take us forward and is only still our manager thanks to Suarez:s last season with us.

    **** him off now.<ok>

    Knee jerk reaction.

Don't forget, we've kept clean sheets in the first 3 games so everything is ok. Rodgers has clearly learnt from his mistakes. <laugh>

    Tha went well <doh>

Sounds like 2 defensive **** ups cost us the game. Skrtel and Lovren had been good in last 3 games can't deny that, but they did both lead the way for individual errors last season in the league and looks like on their way again <doh>

Coutinho booked for not retreating?! He did they last season twice in 1 game and was lucky not to be sent off, Rodgers needs to have a word and tell him to stop doing it!

7 from 12 not ideal... But arsenal have been no better. Chelsea even worse, Spurs bit great and United could be no better off if they lose to Swansea.

Only city are near good enough so far.

If if you look at our games I think most people would have though draw v Stoke, wins against West Ham and Bournemouth and a lose against arsenal which is also 7 points. We've just done it a weird way round.
Things could be looking a lot worse

Not one defeat, based on last season's fiasco tbf. It seems right now like it's carrying on. The clock began to tick for BR when we faced Stoke. We had to win that one after the 6-1 end of last season and we pulled it off: a collective phew must've echoed round the households of every Liverpool fan up and down the country at that: I know I was relieved more than happy. Against Bournemouth we got lucky, against Arsenal we were riding our luck. Today we were found out. Will we learn from it? Who knows. All I know is somehow nothing BR does seems to work effectively, not convincingly and not without some pain.

Jose is more or less ****ed. <ok>

jose just wants money to spend, wonder if he will have silly money to spend before window shuts or his job really is on the line.

with us, nothing changes, luck had to run out, am getting worried the longer we keep hold of brendan the less and less we have a chance of getting a decent manager, well i mean quality manager.

No point in Lucas taking the ball off the opposition if Can keeps giving it straight back to them.

Completely true. Those of us who want rid of Rodgers aren't doing it based on one defeat. We're doing it based on an overall look at his work with us over the past year. Even going back 3 years, the same mistakes are there. We can pull up articles and topics from 2012 that whine about the same tactics, player management, and performances without noting much of a difference.

Don't get me wrong. Rodgers has done very good things for this club. He turned around the slide that started a year before Rafa left. He has had us playing good football at times, he's brought through some youth. He nearly won the title were it not for a stupid defeat to Chelsea. All things that put him in positions where he could finally kick on and deliver his promises of silverware and attractive football.

But then you look at the past year and you think: Why is it one step forwards, two steps back? How long does it really take to learn that Lovren is a liability? How many times is he going to try 5-3-2 before he goes back to the one formation we are perfectly suited for and played in our good season? What is taking him so long to address the defensive partnership issues? How many players is he going to alienate because they aren't "his" signings despite "his" signings being absolutely inadequate? How many mistakes can the likes of Lallana make before they are dropped?

Sometimes he does immediately tinker with the squad, like today dropping Lallana after his poor performances this season. Other times it takes him entire seasons to realise that Joe Allen isn't the midfield dynamo we need right now.

How much longer can FSG afford to give him? How many more millions to waste on PSG/France captains to sit on the bench? Remember, FSG have spent hundreds of millions of pounds. Will they be willing to give a new manager the same amount? I don't want to lose them - they are excellent owners and they'll be looking at these results and thinking, ****, what is the point of all this, if Lovren is where we ended up?

So at the end of the day, I want a manager in now that will give us fresh ideas, one that isn't so set in stone in his ways. I want a manager like Klopp who has such an intensive fitness regime that his keepers could do laps while waiting for the ball. One that knows his best players and how to maximize their skills by creating a formation for them, as opposed to a "system" that players must adapt their skills to fit into. If he stays, he stays. I'll support the team. But I don't think it's what this club can afford to do anymore. And that opinion is subject to change, as is any opinion. I'll gladly accept egg on my face if I'm wrong.

Then where were the BR out brigade last week or the week before........it's a knee jerk reaction to getting beat today.

The league is about the long game, our 'bread and butter' Paisley used to call it. Onward to the next game.
