How wasn't it a penalty when Mahoney chased down that backpass. The keeper just cleaned him out after the ball had well gone. Did I miss something?
I quite enjoyed it today, happy to be back. I noticed almost complete emptiness around where I used to be in the North Stand. Anyway, Preston weren't particularly up to much, we were largely comfortable. It was apparent that when our players attacked Preston with pace, they simply could not handle it. Sadly, we do that too little. Good three points, mainly decent performance, and nice to see some of the new lads. I just wish we'd hit teams a little harder. I think City could smash the majority of the teams in this league if they wanted to. A little less caution for me.
Excellent to get another 3 points. Performances still need work but we'd be more than happy to be 2nd in the table at this point when the season started. 3 big games coming up against teams around us and they, as well as the ending of the transfer window, should set the tone for the season.
