That team is two defenders away from being a very very good side.

He's said he won't play Defoe alone up top though. It'll be Graham/Fletch or even Toiv up top, Watmore starting on the bench. Works for me.

Also Rodwell is off the back of maybe his best two performances for us ( I know) so would be surprised if he was dropped. All pointing to Toiv playing up front??

I think Funk posted some stats up the other day showing Dick never played Toiv as the spearhead of the attack in his time at PSV. Lens occasionally was though... just to confuse things a bit further <laugh>

Reading between the lines a bit I think Dick will be using Toiv as he most advanced of our midfielders, which presumably means dropping either Catts or Rodwell, as M'Vila is just a class above. Think I'd drop Catts on current form tbh...

It could be this, since Rodders has upped his game in the last 2 outings. Watmore impact sub. probably not like!

    -----------Pantilimon------------
    Jones---Coates---Oshea-----Pva
    ---------Catts--M'Villa----------
    Defoe----Rodders-------Lens
    --------------Toivonen-------------

From what I`ve read Toivonens best position is behind the strikers.
    Could be something like this.

    -----------Pantilimon------------
    Jones---Coates---Oshea-----Pva
    ---------M'Villa----Catts--------
    -------------Toivonen-------------
    Rodders-----Defoe---------Lens

Put Catts on the left so he can foul their forwards to give PVA time to saunter back. Rodwell on the right as a straight swap easy sub for Watmore and Defoe`s best in the middle.

Have a great day mate..I too expect to have a fair amount to drink with me being at an all day wedding event at Redworth Hall. There is a bus laid on as well so no driving....I will make sure I have regular updates of what's going on down Villa though..

Start with Cattermole and when he gets his yellow sub him for Toivonen.

I'll gladly take a draw - combined with a mags defeat. - so we are above them. Love hearing the press (especially local)(and MOTD) , when we're in similar positions talk about a poor Safc side which will get worse and be relegated, while a similarly poor Nufc are confident, will get better and will rise up the table. But for two decisions, they'd be a point less and we'd have two more.

    I reckon a draw today.
    Got a good day planned.
Watch the match over a few beers, discuss the aftermath, exotic burgers in sesame buns & see the evening out with wine, spirits & music.
Haway the lads. ****ing topper. <ok>
