You can, but possibly not if you disrespect the manager and the club like Grabham, has. I don't see AN accepting a solution to this problem where he or the club lose face as if he backs down to Grabham it will only encourage more bad behaviour any time someone is unhappy with their lot here. Make no mistake had Neil Adams remained in charge we would not have seen Seb again. RvW really did nothing wrong other than not score for us - I don't recall his attitude being questioned just his ability to break into the team. Wes I think benefitted from being the only player in the squad who can do what he can do and he had a lot of residual goodwill from the fans for his previous service for the club through the leagues which clearly Grabham does not have.
I couldn't careless if he never plays for us again to be honest, we'll probably win more games without him anyway. What ever punishment is thrown his way is fully deserved, he acted like a spoiled brat because he didn't get picked. He may have just ruined his NCFC career and any chance of getting a move to Bournemouth which he wanted.
This beggars belief ! http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/27/norwich-lewis-grabban-suspended-pfa Surely if he's broken the terms of his contract he hasn't got a leg to stand on ? I just hope he's been suspended without pay. IMO there is no way he will be able to pull on a City shirt again, the crowd would give him dogs abuse
The issue seems to be that Norwich didn't hold an official hearing. I don't know the ins and outs of disciplinary procedure, but I wouldn't be surprised if you HAVE to hold an official hearing even for a cut and dry breach. It is pretty amateur that we sanctioned him without doing so if that's the case. Nobody is going to come out of this looking sensible I fear.
Depending on his contract etc, you don't need to have a hearing in cases of gross misconduct. Could on class this as such?
No idea. You'd have thought so. I just don't know what the rules are for player suspensions. I have a feeling they'll be pretty player friendly, although I would hope that the club spoke to their employment lawyers before they did this. Otherwise, as I said, it's going to get a bit more messy yet.
