Very strange day’s racing tomorrow with just 1 UK turf card on the Flat and nothing at all on the turf, on the level, in England!

Not much to get excited about but I would have thought that if HASSADIN is on his A-game he will be very hard to beat at Stratford (4.10). Providing this is the case then he really should ‘bring the bounty, back to the county’. Although you can’t be anywhere near confident about a beast who has pulled up in 4 of his last 6 events! Amongst those P’s though was a highly creditable 2nd (front pair 23 lengths clear of the third) and off 89 Hassadin really should be ultra competitive off a very low looking 89. Go further back into his form he had a peak perch of 115 and some respectable performances to boot – beaten just a couple of lengths by subsequent Scottish National winner Gosdmejudge (when receiving just 5 lbs) and was 4 lengths off the useful Barrakilla (when receiving only 4 lbs).

Hassadin’s opponents tomorrow don’t look like world beaters whilst his excellent handler, Michael Blake, is in spiffing form having had a winner at the weekend (Doubly Clever whom incidentally he has mentioned in the same breath as Cheltenham’s ‘Fred Winter – there’s a long term plot to watch simmer over the winter months, people.)

    Good luck, troops.

Ronaldinho Musselburgh 3.30. Speculative ew punt on this one at 25/1. Good 2 yo form with a top rating of 89, then went to Alan King and enjoyed some success over hurdles without setting the world alight. Now moved on again and although his recent flat form is fairly woeful has plummeted down the weights to 64 (will race of 59 tomorrow with the jockey claim). Lto was probably too short a trip on good ground. Half a mile further this time with a bit of juice in the ground should suit. I'm convinced this one will go in sometime at a decent price and also notice that connections sponsor this race. So why not tomorrow? Good luck anyone having a punt.

Morning All, had a profitable one yesterday so that means I'll draw a blank today :1980_boogie_down:

    Win Acca:

3.30 Musselburgh - Tourtiere 9/4 Seems in great form and won with a bit to spare over c/d recently
4.00 Musselburgh - Spring Offensive 9/4 With the apprentice allowance I reckon will be enough to get his head in front today
4.10 Stratford - The Kvilleken 15/8 Hit form the last two weeks and still reasonably handicapped for the hat-trick bid

    Win Single

3.30 Musselburgh - Don't Tell Chris 6/1 - Started favourite last time out on his handicap debut but could only finish 5th after being held up and running on towards the end, hopefully will be ridden a bit more positively today and if so will go close, the big danger could be the irish raider Six Silver Lane who ran well at Galway last time out.

Best of luck today with the betting to all!!

I think you have to favour Gatlin at these odds. He would have won the 100m but for messing up the finish. He is faster so if gets the finish right he should win. Certainly the odds are more favourable than Bolts 4-9 on. Think the odds were the other way round in the 100m and there wasn't a hairs breath between them. I'm betting big on Gatlin today.

Left the county for just over £11k back in May. I see the trainer / jockey combo had a 25/1 winner on Monday. More of the same today, perhaps?!?

Meanwhile, after the latest declaration stage I see that there are now only 4, I say 4, UK trained animals left in next months St Leger! As one of those chavs types might say, 'What's occuring???'

I suspect Ronaldinho may need a little more time in the care of the new yard but they are nice and shrewd and they will do well at some point.

I quite liked The Carbonator 9/1 who goes up to a trip in line with his breeding and who has some very nice Irish form in the context of this contest at shorter (7f). The potential improvement at the trip means I've had a small play.

Of the twelve that were left in the race at the latest forfeit stage, it was certainly no surprise to see Ballydoyle heavily represented with six. It is pretty much the same every year. It should be noted that the option of supplementary entries are still available; hence the ante-post betting still contains a couple of horses that are not listed.

I do note that the fortuitous Great Voltigeur winner Storm The Stars has now been deposed as favourite by Ballydoyle’s Order of St George. Little surprise that the Haggas charge is friendless as there must be little confidence in a horse that wanders all over the track at twelve furlongs getting home over two further. I certainly would not have a penny on it.
