I'd have though that there was some stiff competition for this title. Personnally I think I will plump for Zesh Rehman, as he came from a premier league side (Fulham) and was an international (Pakistan captain).
Zesh is the worst player I've ever seen play for us, let alone defender. Yes Roller, big bad George was my "guilty pleasure".
If you think Rehman is the worst player to ever play for us then your memory is a short one imo. Santos wasn't so bad although Holloway's insistence on playing him in any position didn't help. Christer Warren was a bit of a joke, although it depends what you mean by recent.
The worst defender I have seen at QPR is Bob Malcolm, who we had on loan from Derby when they were in the Premiership. Truly awful. Though this is based on just the one game I saw him play.
Drunk Bob Malcom was slow as ****, but for me no-one beats John Curtis in the really embarrassingly ****e defender stakes.
God I'd forgotten Malcolm. Who could forget his race with a 10 yard headstart against Sheffield Wednesday's big black striker (Jermaine Johnson?).
Some very good candidates already mentioned but, personally, I would add Karl Ready to the list. Unlike those already listed, who were usually sussed fairly early on, Karl was a regular for a number of seasons. I never once glimpsed what the manager saw in him and I perpetually hoped that he would come good but I was always disappointed. And he went for some months with the most awful haircut, courtesy of his mum's pudding basin.
Ready had a terrible haircut, but I do remember him hitting the post with a header in a defeat at Portman Rd one year so he couldn't of been totally useless. John Curtis v WBA at Hawthorns when we got spanked 5-1. Worst individual performance of all time
But i bet if you told Malcolm there was a pint 100 yards away with his name on it he would have sprinted like Linford Christie!! Ready, Ceasar and maybe Cullip
Swords I would have to agree with Zesh, but George was bloody great when he tackled the whole ground shook.
