If only we had replaced colback with banega and haidara with jetro williams.

 

I'd drop Anita, switch Sissoko Central and then put Perez into play on the right.
A strong team methinks.

 

Anita has played well of late.

 

I'd swap Perez for sissoko, just coming back from injury so give him Tyne at the end to beast arsenal. Otherwise stay the same, maybe wingers swap flanks?

 

Prob thauvin and moussa switching wings on second thoughts...

Taylor played well against Man united, would you not keep him in to reward fact?
Though who to drop to allow that would be a problem, I'd say Janmaat but he has already walked straight back into team yesterday.

I think perez has convinced Steve of his quality. I think if he doesn't start it will be for tactical reasons. Thauvin, mitro, wiji have earned a spot. Maybe Aarons and really hit them on the counter

Pretty much. We are at home and Arsenal appear uncomfortable when teams are coming at them. If you sit and let them pick you off, the likes of Sanchez and Ozil will likely find a way. Plus Giroud is exactly what Colo doesn't need. So why not remove some of the pressure by attacking them and thus spend less time dealing with their threat. I think we need to keep Bellerin and Monreal pinned back.

With Dummett you have the extra solidity you don't get from Haidara defensively. Plus in not playing Janmaat you also curtail our adventures on that side.

I'm also mad keen to see either Thauvin or Perez buzzing around Mitrovic at 10. I see little value in having additional options and letting Colback get away with that the other day. He was terrible.

 

Mitrovic has to play this one, because we need to take the pressure off defence and Cisse doesn't hold it up. Perez/Thauvin either side, for me. One DM - Tiote if he's up to it, Colback if not (Anita can't play out and out DM for me), then Sissoko and Wijnaldum alongside each other. Defence picks itself for this one, depending on Dummett's fitness. Might be as well to just stick with the four who got a clean sheet at OT and hope they concede 2 or less.

Anita/Aarons/De Jong/Cisse/Tiote - it's good options, a good bench. Not a bad squad if Steve gets them playing. If we were in League One we'd have a shot of winning the title..

Its a good team but I'd swap Darlow in for Dummy at centre back all day long. That said I'd do like a double or triple left back scenario.
