Agree. Can you imagine the uproar here if he HAD fielded a strong side and a first teamer got injured. I can here it now, " why didn't he play a weakened team/clueless manager/ffs!"
Disappointing result but could have been worse. It is a Mickey Mouse competition and at least we didn't suffer a major injury to one of our better players (as we have done before in this cup). We already have 8 more league games this year than we had last year so tonight's exit from the cup is perhaps something of a benefit and certainly no great loss.
CR “I made a number of changes, but the team I put out could quite easily feature in a Championship match." Someone called him Benny on another site.
Just got back from the Malmö-Celtic match. Malmö deserved the win.Great atmosphere, sold out (20 500)and all home supporters singing. Nice compact stadium. QPR don't need a 40000 seater stadium. Still disappointed with QPR losing though.

Rangers were beaten 2-1 by the League Two side at Loftus Road, where Hoilett, who has consistently underperformed since his move from Blackburn in 2012, was jeered by fans as he was substituted in the second half. Head coach Ramsey refused to name names, but said he planned to speak to the club’s owners about changes that need to be made to the squad and insisted the youngsters who featured were not to blame for the result. “I didn’t think the young kids were to blame and I don’t regret playing them,” he said. “Some of the players who are little bit more experienced, barring Clint [Hill], needed to step up with their league experience and show some of the kids what it’s all about. “On tonight’s performance, some of the players who have not been picked recently have not done enough – and I’d pick the kids over them at the moment.” And he added: “I don’t want to be unprofessional [by naming players] but there comes a time when you have to protect the interests of the fans and what they’re looking for. “You also have to look at the way the club has treated players fantastically over the last few years and it’s about time that they start realising that this is a precious situation that they’ve been put into and they need to start paying back the faith people have put in them. “You’ve got to look at why the club’s bought you. If you’re not prepared to at least put your heart on your sleeve for the club, then we don’t need you.” After Derek Asamoah put Carlisle ahead, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas equalised and Rangers missed several chances before Jason Kennedy netted a 79th-minute winner for the Cumbrians. Ramsey’s side have now conceded two goals in all but one of their six matches this season. “We’ve conceded two very soft goals again. I’m not happy. We’ve conceded two goals in every game and that cannot be right,” said Ramsey. “It means that teams are coming to us and rubbing their hands, knowing that they’re going to score. It means we then have to score three or four goals to win a game and that’s not right. “They should be capable of overcoming a team like Carlisle. They should be able to score enough goals, because we created enough chances. “Look at the chances we’ve had; clear-cut, in front of goal – you have to score them. You have to score with those chances and we haven’t. “We’ve had two one-versus-ones in the centre of the box. They’ve just got to kick it in the goal.”
I was thinking of writing such a post but you saved me the need, thanks. As you say, we need to test the new players a somewhere. As long as we continue to prosper in the main league, I can live with it.
Whichever way you look at it, it's a crap and unacceptable result. CR and the senior players featured should hang there heads in shame after being handed a home game against an inferior team. I don't care if we won't win the cup, but at least make an effort. We all are, whether at the game or not. Just shows some things really aren't changing that much. Very, very disappointed.
A similar thing to Hurling I believe, Lacrosse, was always Canada's national game, but now jointly shares the honour with Ice Hockey......
Some serious over-reaction on this thread. Our second string played not great and lost to Carlisle. A chance for Hoilett in his supposed favourite position and he does **** all. How did Polter play?
Carlisle, without a league win so far this season, are now into the third round for only the third time in 39 years - in the process condemning QPR to an eighth defeat in 11 seasons by lower-league opposition in the League Cup. Enough said
