Aston Villa - losinf 2-3 at home to league 2 Notts County get a penalty where the attacking player was going to berate the referee for giving a free kick against him! No one claimed for it, no one wanted it, no one expected it but it didn;t stop them from scoring it! That, to me, is cheating in itself! Referee was a joke

 

Villa only had 2 players from the team that played in their last league match

 

Is that supposed to be relevant in any way whatsoever or just more nonsense from you?

**** me that was the strangest game I've ever been to. The ref even added on 9 minutes on at the end.

The whole game was just weird. Weird and entertaining mind you.

Took our lass's 9 year old brother and he loved every minute.

Hats off to the Exeter fans - gave us some stick but they were magnificent I thought.

Has the club signed something that obliges us to let the opposition score 3 in the first half in most games this season?

 

I am going with the positive that we scored 6 goals. Defoe scoring regularly and Rodwell looking to be gaining some form. Watmore developing well too.

To be honest the first goal they scored looked a case of Coates being careful not to give away a foul in the box, like someone had said "we are 2 up dont give anything silly away" he was too careful though and they scored. The other 2 were shocking defending though, complete loss of focus.

 

I'm puzzled as to why DA put SF on again, the game changed when this zero impact sub was taken off, the manager running out of options was a game saver, but the longer term ramifications are the big worry, as it lost us the option to change this defensive formation. It will have to be addressed soon or this season will be over before it starts imo.

I was still shocked to realise a lower-league side like Exeter could put 3 in before half-time though (no disrespect intended, I'm sure they were right up for the game!)
