If the Police are threatening to stop games for as little as this then heaven help us all this season. They are opening a can of worms and will be flooded with complaints and be up to their eyes in investigations. Looks like fitba banter is dead.
I don't think anyone is offended by "banter", I personally don't consider songs about the IRA, or events in Ulster/Northern Ireland as banter though.
Capital Bhoy Not the time of year to explain the good points of freedom songs/fighters. Them tend to be trite bitter and inward thinking at this time of year.

I'm afraid I still don't understand. I don't read the Sun (whatever difference that makes). If people say things that offend me then I will say so but you are trying to say turn the other cheek and that offensive things are only words? Child Porn offends me, as do *****philes. Are people just to accept these things and ignore them? It's an extreme example I know, but there are many more besides, so in essence I don't follow your train of thought.
