First thread since that botched attempt at a wind up haha, I can take it on the chin.

On the notion of comebacks, if we were to bring in a former safc player during this window who would people want to see back in the red and white stripes?

two that come to mind for me are two players I really liked and don't think we've replaced Kenwyne Jones and Danny Collins. id go for Kenwyne, loved him and hated when people got on his back. Never wanted to go and id love to see him back. Wouldn't have minded djibril cisse either.

Last person id like to see back (apart from bent) for me Whitehead the epitome of average, selling him was as clear an indication that we were moving forward as I've known.

    Ah Whitehead ....
It appears he's not really PL class, but he did his bit in getting us into the PL, and he was bought for buttons at a time when SAFC was skint ...
He was a faithfull servant. Let's remember him fondly as being a vital cog in getting us up into the PL ..

Ok ill give banana man some due. I still think even at championship level he was a work horse type. Going back to the op, imagine kenwyne Jones with Larssons delivery from.set pieces instead of having to defend them which he did better than anyone.

I'd have Kevin Ball get his boots back out and show all the money grabbers what its like to play with a bit of passion and pride for a club.

PMP there are plenty SAFC players who could fill those boots. Joe Bolton, King Charlie, any of the '73 team.

Elliott, Rowell, Arnott, Armstrong................etc etc etc. All loved and fought for the red and white stripes.

Just a thought, who'd get the most abuse at the sol for the opposition, bent or chopra? I think it'd be a close one.

I'd like to see The Djib back as well.

    Jones - err? Non.

Bent - didnt want him to go but for the way he chose his exit from the SOL, I'd rather have gbsafc4eva, Chappaz and Badger round for tea?

I think that choke at sjp when it was 1-1 will always have chopra as a bad'un, I actually thought he was a canny player and underrated by many safc fans, but what he did was unforgivable. We all knew where his true loyalty lay and he would have buried that against any other team. Bent just did the dirty on us big style.

What I want is for us to do supremely well. 3 years time? Finish fourth (oh I know you Geordie twats). Win a couple of cups................

Bent. Jones. ALL of them looking on, thinking "that could have been me"

I think we - as a whole club - have the desire, the means, the set-up to do this.

More than Villa. More than Everton. More than Spurs. Stoke? bye bye.

    My wish. It should happen.

Bent for me! I always remember my mates who are spurs season ticket holders telling me he is nothing but a **** and will **** us over. I didnt believe them and thought it was partly down to the dislike the spurs fans had for him and he would do us good up here as he would be treat like a king. Wasnt i made to look like the fool? I wonder if things would have turned out different if the whole racism thing never happened with his mam?
