Lescott apparently he can leave WBA. Bit old, and a bit slow, but can't knock his experience and that he's still Premiership quality.

WBA Seems to be sniffing around Fazio (Spurs) and/or Jonny Evans.

Bit of a strange one him being released, I thought he had a good season last year by all accounts, then he started the first game of this and has been an unused sub in the past two games. Sounds like perhaps something has gone wrong and/or he's had a fall out with Pulis. I'd definitely be interested if we could afford him, he must be the wrong side of 30 by now so not a long-term option, but I'd have thought we could use his experience this year at least.

He's 32-33 I think. I would take him over Colins definitely.

I'd take back Elliott Ward over Collins

Supposedly Sheffield Wednesday are closing in on a permanent deal for Turner, and a loan for Hooper.

Hopefully the first bit is accurate!

I still have a (bad) feeling, despite all the rumours and goss, that we'll end up with Dwight Gayle for a 'delinquent' transfer fee. And the more these late transfers drag on, the more obscene the amount of money involved - which is not in NCFC's best interests.

    I
Id be gutted if we got rid of Hooper and had to survive with RVW and Lafferty....and Grabban. I know we need to lose players/wages. But not one of our best back ups. If Jerome was injured if trust Hooper above the other 3. Grabban and Hoops are pretty close.

Speaking of Lafferty, there's talk that he's recovered and is being included in the squad for today vs Rotherham.

Oh really? That will be interesting. I think I'd play 2 up top tonight. And try and get decent minutes out of as many of Ricky, Lafferty and Hooper and Grabban as we can. See if we can get any of them a goal to kick them off and get them confident. I recon Andreu should start after his class pre-season.

Amat is an interesting one. Currently injured but has never really been more than Swansea's third choice CB. Good age, has some PL experience, possibly open to a move, and I can't imagine the fee would be obscene. Would be an upgrade on Turner, and likely to offer competition for our other CBs, rather than come in to replace them. That's good for squad harmony at least.

Pritchard is someone I rate, but he's old enough now to count in the 25-man squad, and it's an area we have options in.

I'd definitely take Amat. Good defender, been around for a while at Swansea. I'd definitely like Pritchard, but can't see it happening duo to our ridiculous numbers in Midfield already.

In all the hysteria over buying another striker to make it 6 on the books for the one place has anybody else noticed that, excluding youngsters, if we sell Turner we only have 6 defenders to cover 4 positions.

Martin, Bassong, R. Bennett, Whittaker, Wisdom, Olsson, Brady, plus Toffolo and E. Bennett. So a bit more than 6, but I agree we'd be a CB short.

Was just trying to think who'd he compete with in the left-sided/attacking midfielder positions:

    CENTRAL

    Hoolahan
    Howson
    Andreu
    Ofoe??
    Redmond??
    E.Bennett??
    McGrandles??

    LEFT SIDE
    Brady
    Johnson
    McGrandles??
    Lafferty??
    Toffolo??

I reckon he'd offer something for us, particularly on the left.

At least the talk of that Mbokani bloke seems to have gone quiet, he didn't interest me even in the slightest and would only have ever been a desperation buy in my opinion.

Blimey. Kicking off in the tranfer news today. Can't all be true though, going it for Murray and Afobe? Surely one of them must be false unless we are trying to get Murray inline incase Wolves hold out. Amat is a good shout, not bad, got potential to improve, been involved Spain under 21s I think. Gotta have something. Better age and pace than the lescott and Colins options. Afobe and Amat would definitely add to our quality. Just worrying sales are happening yet. A lot could go, or at least be loaned out. We need a feeder club!
