I don't think that's quite true. He's had a rough start to the season, but he's performed admirably for us and stepped into the breach well previously.

He's not been impressive this season, but he's only young and some support can help him.

He has been largely disappointing. Only passes backwards. Crosses forwards.
Looks very lax, weak, half-arsed, uninterested, bewildered and in a world of his own.

Can not wait until Bertrand is back!

Targett should be looking at these games as a way of proving himself but he looks way too out of his depth this season!

EK and RK have both given him a bollocking this season when playing and I do not blame them.

The weakest point of our starting eleven right now.

I'd also add that I'm not sure it's possible to look bewildered and uninterested at the same time. They sort of are opposing.

He only ever passes backwards, except when he's always crossing forwards.

I'd like to see Matty Targett & RLGB have a game of trivial pursuit. Couldn't call it

Targett put in good performances when asked last season. This season he has struggled a bit at the same time as the team...a case of an inexperienced player being exposed by a fall off in general team performance. Far too early to write him off.

He is not Luke Shaw, but that doesn't mean he won't develop into a good LB. Lets not forget he has had less support from others around him. I'm sure if we had Morgan and Toby we may have won a few and we'd all be saying how well he is stepping up.
    Christ he is think though.
