QPR’s Yun close to return to action

Yun Suk-Young could return to action on Monday.
The South Korea left-back missed all of QPR’s pre-season campaign because of a knee injury but has made good progress with his recovery.
And Yun, who made 23 appearances last term, might feature for Rangers’ development side in a match against Brentford.
His condition will be assessed ahead of the game before a final decision is taken on whether he will play.
However, Armand Traore remains sidelined with a knee problem despite previous optimism that he too was close to a return.

 

Shouldn't that read...

That's good news about Yun, have a lot of time for this player.

 

One question answered thank you. Anyone want to speculate on:
Where is Diakite?
How close is Fer to returning?
Did we really resign Jamie Mackie or did I just dream it?
Why is my club always full of crocks?

 

Diakite has oven mitts taped to his hands and is in a padded room where he can't kill the opposition.

Fer will create new injuries forever to avoid Championship football. He's made of matchsticks.

Mackie, no idea. Looked good against Charlton though.

 

Diakite played (well I read) for the U21's just a week or two ago.

Mackie is injured, or maybe I just dreamt that!

 

What and replace the marauding Konchesky.......blasphemy. Actually thought he looked good on Saturday, like his attitude and the way he was up and down the touchline he looked more 24 than 34......could prove to be a very shrewd signing....

Don't rate Yun sorry. OK going forward but can't defend, which is a bit of an issue for a defender

 

Don't rate him too much either. As I may have said before, I think Traore is a better bet than him if he ever gets fit. He has got a better top of his game level anyway, he just needs to concentrate for 95 minutes.

 

I think if you're being sensible you have to pick Yun over Traore. At least Yun is professional and plays to the best of his abilities when he's on the pitch. He has much better concentration. Traore does have a wicked dangerous cross but I'd rather have a good character in my squad than someone who does something good only once or twice a season.

Yun is definitely the better defender of the two (Traore shouldn't be allowed to defend!) but Konchesky seems to be in full swing, as of Saturday, so those two would have to challenge him for his spot. But I do think, if settled, Yun could be more than useful. I get the impression that Yun's spell of bad form was due to him being thrown in at the deep end in the Prem and not getting a regular enough spot to find his feet and settle in to EPL football.

 

Would play Kpekawa before Yun, Konchesky and Traore.

 

Would play any of you ahead of that ****cunt Traore.

What ever gives you the idea that Traore has it in him to concentrate for 95 seconds, let alone 95 minutes? And if he managed that he'd be concentrating on his haircut, not the game.

 

Be honest, he concentrates 93 minutes and 25 seconds of 95! And he's got a far better top register than Yun. Remember his set up of Mackie's goal at City, and his defending in the Play off final when he came on. He's better in the air too.

 

To be fair Yun has been a major disappointment, I had high hopes for him. But it's telling that a for a club with 5 left backs Traore will be last, behind Hill, in the pecking order. He's also injured most of the time, only played 80 odd games in 4 seasons i.e he's has nearly two whole seasons either injured or dropped. If he ever gets fit I reckon he'll be loaned out for the last season of his contract.

 

I've not been over-impressed by Yun either. He's got something to prove in my book.

 

Can't argue with that about Traore's injuries and loaning him out. I expect Konchelsky will be LB usually, and I'd like to see Kpekawa play at least games like tomorrow's LC, as at Yeovil when he did very well making the one goal, and apart from poor distribution,was OK against weak opposition otherwise.

 

I like Konchesky. Good pro who gives 100%. Played really well on Saturday imo.

 

Yun and Traore combined don't make a defender, stick with Konchesky...

 

Traore is one of the worst defenders I've ever seen & should never be allowed to play full back ever again, he does have some ability as a wing back/left midfield but lacks any consistency.

Yun was clearly out of his depth in Prem which is not surprising as didn't feature much in our promotion year so was highly unlikely to make the step up. Back in the Champ him & Konchesky should offer decent competition at LB although expect Konchesky's experience will make him 1st choice.
