I’d love by the end on the transfer window to have 3/4 of these: Borini Van Dijk Alonso Austin De Guzman Pato Dembele Evans But probably end up with 1/2 with one of them on loan
A few interesting names on here... A few may one have clubs. Eboue on a free could be a neat bit of business. Taiwo that Cameroon fullback we dodged under Keno also available. http://www.90min.com/posts/2427908-...still-available-on-free-transfers-this-summer
De Guzman Pato Vlaar Alonso De Guzman loan so just wages, Pato £7m, Vlaar is free so just wages again and Alonso £3m. Get rid of a few and net spend is relatively low still.
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/460640/Ron-Vlaar-transfer-news-Southampton bastards haha , if they sign him doubt they would be in for the lad from celtic as well
Must've missed that. That'll be why no ones taken him. Worth a punt though depending on the injury surely?
Not for me, we've worked out we're on a budget, priority positions only. That's a AM, CF then is we can a LB. I've no interest in any other position until they're met
Evans would be a great buy - I have a feeling we will stick with CBs. That could cost us. LB looks like we need someone to defend, Phil Bardsley may be available CAM for the love of God can we please have one. Striker - would love a proper one, get rid of Fletcher. Clear out all the overpaid dross like Buckley, Bridcutt etc. Let's bring U21s through instead of overpaying journey men who will never improve or improve us by sitting on a bench. I'd rather see Mandron on the bench over Fletcher. If we stopped picking him he might piss off. Watmore gives us options. Knowing our club I can see a couple of loan players coming who do not play in positions we particularly need and who are no better than what we have. Desperate to be proved wrong on this.
Over priced rubbish Evens to make a 7th CB and an average passed it Bardsley to become a 3rd Right Back when we need a genuine competition for Left Back. Nah thanks.
His wages have suddenly become way higher than he's worth, unless he's willing to take a pay cut or you offer to supplement his wages at his new club, nobody will be willing to take a chance of him.
Evans would be a solid signing it's clear a lack of leadership and communication in defence cost us in our first 2 games. If you remember he made nyron look a defender much like Woodgate used to do for Bramble. He could be a natural successor to O'shea.
You just used Evans and solid in the same sentence. Ask terry, he's anything but solid. We've got enough calamitous mistake prone defenders in the squad already for my liking. Opinons and all but 10+m mistake prone centeback when we desperately need a AM and CM and knowing that we can't free spend, would be insane business imo.
