If we could get Alonso he would provide competition for LB but it could also mean PVA could play left wing with Alonso at LB. Makes sense to me.
Just watched the match (on to late here when I need to be up at 4am for a 12hr shift), and have to say we looked alot better. Still way to many passes going astray though. Lens tho looks the goods, him on one side and AJ on the other and we will be a bit more threatening. Mvilla looks good, once he gains fitness. Coates made some fantastic tackles on Montero, looks alot more composed with JoS. Pva is looking a liability. Needs replaced until he can work on his defensive duties. Think Southampton look set to sign van dijk so... Can't see us signing another centre back anyway. Cam is a must and I think Defoe will score plenty of goals this season anyway. Pato would be a class signing.
