Pato's goals per game thing for Milan was a bit phoney in truth, he went on long runs without goals even before the injuries stopped him in his tracks, and was playing in a team that created a hell of a lot of chances.

Would I want him here? Course, absolutely worth a risk, but a risk is exactly what it would be.

Yeah great, would be happy if he came but in no way gutted if he went to Stoke!
Don't subscribe to this Stoke envy. They have Bojan I'd love to see here, otherwise not fussed. They have only 2pts btw.
Don't forget they lost Begovic and Nzonzi, two of their best players. Begovic loss alone could prove to cost a few pts

Bojan, Shaqiri and Shawcross and suddenly we'd be a very good side.

I have definite Stoke envy personally!

Yeah but they'd take Pants, Cattermole and probably Defoe.

Not a million miles better than us. Must admit I have never been impressed by Shaqiri but having only seen him two or three times I'm looking forwRd to wTching him

Pato is only 5ft10", we're after a target man, we know this. Just basic logic that we're not intrested in him. Think about it lads, he's not the type of player we're looking to bring in.

Creative player Funky not the main striker. Someone to play as an attacking midfielder in front of the middle 2 and behind the front 3.

I know what he's about he's a very good player, I think we need a Mame Diouf style forward not a Pato style forward imo, we need a bit of height and strength to complement a decent all round Game, the forward Conner never became. No Idea why you'd want to play Pato as an Attacking Midfielder or a Support Striker either when he's an out and out forward, I disagree with that to sorry fella.

we are not a good footballing side and are often under the cosh so we need somebody to aimlessly hoof the ball up to and make it stick to ease the pressure on our defenders. an on form defoe can hopefully do the rest. once we do that then we could gradually, over time, build a footballing side around it. like stoke.

He playd behind the front man currently and is not an out and out striker.

Defoe has 2 in 3 games. His goals have both come from a central position. I think we would be mad to replace him at this stage. Keep the ball on the floor and play football, Pato can certainly do this.

    Could look something like this

    .......catts....mvilla.......
    AJ.........Pato.......Lens
    ...............Defoe............

Then why not get an AM to supply him, why go for a square peg in a round hole? If we're going to bring someone in for a role we might as well go for someone who's a natural, not bring someone in whose accomplished in one position then have to wait while adapts for another, if he can. All sounds over complicated for me marra. Our club is complicated enough. If we signed him, he's a goal scorer, stick him where he scores goals i say
