They were ****e outside of gomez and Ibe. They also showed us skertl and lovern getting to know each other and proved just how average bogdan is.

Aside from that.... Yeah fairly irrelevant.

    Markovic was really sloppy though

Yep, not disputing that but Markovic hardly featured in preseason so I think it's unfair to compare the two.

Again, it comes down to who gets more opportunities.

he featured in every training session which directly led to the games he got wheich directly lead to him not getting any more cos he was so freaking sloppy in them!!

I saw him give the ball away constantly while lallana at least retained it and score a couple.

As ****e as he is lallana merits a slot more than markoivc.

the issue is cos we'd 3 guys off on hols and one not signed yet we are seemingly stuck with lallana in the side.

FFS... like.... coutinho walked straight back in.. frimino... nope.. can.. shcokingly still not in the side from the kick off last monday.

Injury has now it seems forced rodgers hand with can... pity its to henderson for the arsneal game as we can't afford that.... especially as it means lallana will play.

Not gonna agree with you on this - so let's agree that Lallana is sh*te.

  8. Who knows, Markovic may get his chance soon. I suspect Firmino will be ahead of him in the queue though.

    At 29mil he better be.

Markovic will get a go in europa.

It's better to say hey ibe played himself in ahead of lazar

  10. Markovic is more likely to replace Ibe if he doesn't start pulling his thumb out his arse!

If Ibe is played on the right wing where he belongs Markovic has no chance of displacing him <ok>

How much was Markovic compared to Ibe?

Price means nothing, ability/production means all.

  13. If Ibe plays to his potential, very true. However, that was kind of my point with the "thumb out his arse" comment ;)

  14. Agree 100% with this. Transfer fees mean ****all when it comes to picking a team.

Nahhhh Firmino was signed as marquee first team player. He is not potential and if anyone said so you'd laugh in their face. He's for now.

Markovic was signed for God knows why for 29mil. .. but.... it's slightly irrelevant as circumstances were different between him and Ibe.

Markovic could have been snagged when danilo first mentioned him for 3/4 Mil. We let him go on to another club then pay huge fee.

Ibe was snagged at 16 for very little.

My point was both are players of potential and Ibe was far far better in preseason and that's why he is in the side.

Lallana and firmino are players who should walk into first team due to age and fee and expectation. They should be the two compared.... why has Firmino not got in ahead of lallana yet?

Unfit, can't speak English? Doesn't get Rodgers expectations? Didn't get preseason? Who the **** knows.

Tell that to chairmen and presidents of clubs who sack managers if they don't play a player.

Levy... abramovich. ... any real president you care to mention etc etc

All these players are number 10's! Where's the bloody wingers?

Ibe and markovic at a push, we need an out and out winger who can hit the ground running.

I'll be positive on Lallana for a second.
He is great at receiving the ball and then turning with it, shame thats about it.

    However....
He hasn't got an eye for a pass and if he did, he hasn't got the ability to carry it out.
He has zero pace and his effort is questionable.
He rarely makes himself an opportunity to have a shot, which is probably for the best.
He plays in a non existent position, not good enough for midfield, not good enough on the wing and not good enough to play behind the striker.
He is the of the same ilk as Joe Allen, in that he just offers nothing. In fact if you find 9 other similar players and make them a team, I'm sure time would stop.
When Coutinho plays, it just makes Lallana look worse.
It makes me angry just talking about him.

Oh and he looks like a pr!ck too, have a shave ffs.

    Yeah.... well..... there you go.

Being all fair and straight down the middle when it's a game of favorites and opinions and subjectivity.
