    I will go along with Top Tug at 6/1 in the opener at York (1:55). Bit unlucky at Goodwood LTO.

    I wasn't going to have a punt at York but really like Clever Cookie who is a course specialist and has his ground today.His defeat lto at Ascot can be ignored as he raced on much quicker ground and this looks an easier assignment.Even though I'm more of a jumps man I decided to take a half day and relax on the couch and watch proceedings.

    Silver Springs 12/1 in the first at Sandown. I put this up last time when it won at 25/1 and it really shouldn't be winning again today up 12lbs in a better race but I can't really leave it alone just in case so gone ew

    Lucky William Mullins doesn't focus too much on the flat and just sends the odd rogue there to pick up easy group races or else he would dominate both codes <whistle>

    Gold cup contender next year ???

    Come on fellas, shed a tear for those poor bookie chaps at Paddy Power. Acapulco left lots of people with free bets for finishing second at York. Hopefully a few of the punters will find a winner with their free bets...

    I expect that the police will be called when Sir Barney is spotted running starkers down his local High Street at 3am tomorrow. It seems Mecca’s Angel is a superstar.

    Did I miss Beefy tipping Fadhayyil, one of those better than the colts Classic fillies that ran in the 1000 Guineas?
