As I keep getting notifications about the argumentative people posting in this thread, I may as well ask the question, what's the Andre Gray situation? I read Bristol C had an offer accepted & we won't match what they want. So is the deal dead or still kicking in the background if we can flog someone?
Celtic are in for Hooper. Not that we have actually put a bid in for him anyway but there was the rumor we were going to. http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/ce...city-in-race-to-sign-premier-league-striker/?
A bid was accepted, Gray told them no he was holding out for us and Bristol is now looking elsewhere so it's either we pay what they want, they lower the price or he puts a transfer request in.
Ex pats is the new fuzzy name for them! Call them what they are ffs. Don't go making them out to be doing something noble!
Mike Sewell @MikeSewellSport 2h2 hours ago I understand Andre Gray is now expected to join @BurnleyOfficial after turning down a move to Bristol City. #AndreGray #Brentford #burnley Hmm - this guy's on 5 Live who are much more trustworthy.
I can check again but last time I did this wasnt even being discussed on the Brentford forum so I wouldnt take much stock in it.
Why would he join Burnley who have been selling their best players and are only 1 point above Bristol with far less money to spend on wages than Bristol. Makes no sense. He's better off staying with Brentford who they play on Saturday. This is a daft rumour that makes no sense.
He wants to come here. We are leaving his club sweating on the fact that our offer is less than their asking, but he won't agree terms with bigger offers. We have a little leverage and no reason to meet their fee yet if he is frustrating accepted bids by cocking up personal terms. We need to sell a striker first. It will go to the wire. Do we shift Jelly or Hernandez? Will they keep an an unhappy player or fold to our lower offer as he wont go anywhere else? Or will a bigger club step in and change it all. Tune in next week.
