I was nervous before the Vitesse game as well though, just don't want to concede an away goal, will be absolutely gutted if we didn't make the group stages.

Really could do with an early goal tonight.

Didnt we score from a corner v stoke last year (header by Fonte tapped in on line from Morgan)? Might be wrong

Ah, the old chestnut. A win is a win, no matter when the goal comes.

True but if it's anything like the Vitesse game, after 15 minutes every misplaced pass will recieve groans from the stands <doh>

That happens at a lot of games. Our fans get impatient often. Some even booed the team off on Saturday at half time :(

the people that left after the third goal on Saturday should never come back to the stadium again. poor fans, I expect they weren't around in the league 1 days.

That's right. Stoke away. We've scored plenty of corners since the Beattie one. Hooiveld scored a few. Hooiveld vs West ham (1-0) Hooiveld vs Swindon (0-1) Fonte vs Fulham (2-2) Lovren vs Liverpool (0-1) Lallana vs Man Utd (1-1) Schneiderlin off the short corner vs West Ham (1-4). Mane winning the penalty against Vitesse recently) to name a few off the top of my head. Hoovield must have got more that I can't remember off the top of my head and Lambert must have got a few.

I think the Beattie 2003 comment was tongue-in-cheek and a little piss take...

Probably. But there's no harm in trying to remember goals we scored off them. It took no effort to type and it surprised me how many I could remember off the top of my head. I thought it may be of interest.

Noticeable that Sparv and his manager speak better English than Wanyama and Koeman. :) Interesting what Sparv said about expecting 1 or 2 players to come through from an Academy group, but 9-10 from his time at Southampton are still in professional football.

It was the last one I can remember.

Since then I thought of Jason Dodd v Pompey, which must have been later.

    Indeed. I wasn't happy.

If I am destined to die in a fight, it'll be at a football match after an incident when people around me boo the team off and I start on them. I'm 6ft 3 so they tend to shut up but one day one of them will hit me and realise that I have all the fighting qualities of a pot of wet putty.

After the last few years I think it's a disgrace to boo the team, but thankfully not many did near me on Saturday. I think the absence of applause was enough.
