Good Morning Everyone, We're two nil up with a minute to go, plus injury time..... Whatever could go wrong? FCUKING EVERYTHING We cannot use the excuse that it is a one off either? During the first 88 minutes Rosler that got everything (well, most things) right. Wood and Antenucci were combining well. Phillips was brilliant Adeyami looked like the bargain of the season Even Wooton was having a good game. THEN CAME THE LEEDS CURSE..... Everything just fell apart... Can Rosler be held responsible?
Yes he can Elland. Phil Haye reckons we played well for 89 minutes, but I have to question that because we played a team who will probably go down. Stats show us having 7 attempts Stats show Bristol had 16 attempts Stats show weonly had 39% of the ball. We were 2nd best on most stats and even if we had kept a clean sheet and took the 3 we would still have questions to ask as it was Bristol City. Pluses were as described above and I'm chuffed Wood got off the mark. Last night was 2 dropped points which in this league we cannot afford. People talking about Bristol deserving something from the game backs up the stats and that cannot be good reading for Rosler. After every game Uwe has the pressure mounting
BC may have had 16 attempts, but did not look like scoring until 89 mins... Possession is a problem Morning btw
Good morning Matt from a sunny Bardsey I was pleased we scored 2 goals away from home and naturally pleased for Wood to get his first in the league Silvestri should hold his hand up for the first goal and the 2 well where was our defenders back on the bus2 sloppy goals to be given away at the end Still if we draw all our games away this season and win 80% at home we will get promoted especially as no one really set the league on fire all the teams are on with a shout and the transfer window is still open and Rosler knows what he needs or should do by now Well at least the anti Christ looks like being wrong he said we would get 3 points from our first 7 games I said 14 so I need 4 wins! Ajose wants to leave but Swindon are p[laying hardball they want him on loan which means we will pay them Goldson another lad mentioned along with Jamie Murphy has joined Brighton will look at them when they play us soon I see Phillips and Austin score d against Wolves last night in probably their last games before being says QPR for promotion? Not me and Barton still trying to get someone to give him a very lucrative payday lets hope its not us

Morning Elland, gutted about last night but only cos we messed up so late in the game. Bristol more than deserved their point so no complaints there. Easy to blame Rosler but tbf he hasn't had much time to get the team prepared between games. Let's be honest after travelling back last night he only has Friday to prepare for an early kick off again Saturday....****ing ridiculous! The squad lacks experience in midfield and our academy products Mowatt and Byram are not living up to the hype. Still need at least three quality players I feel including some pace if possible. Still a long way to go and this squad with the right additions will only get better. I feel Rosler will have a job on his hands lifting the lads for Saturday though.
It's hard to imagine us not winning last night if someone like Barton had been on the pitch though. After the first goal everyone on the pitch f**king panicked. Isn't Bamba supposed to be the leader? An experienced midfield player would have kept his cool and helped the younger players remain composed. Instead we completely collapsed, like we do time and again.
Morning all How long before Cellino is on the phone to Pearson and would he come? I cant stand the bloke, but if he is the answer......
Morning all. Thanks for posting the goals elland. My word the 2 conceded were shockers. Charlie Taylor's positional sense for the 1st is woeful, he's looking outside him all the time and the danger is always on his inside. Not 1 BC player in our half on his outside and he keeps checking and angling his body position that way instead of tucking in closer to Bamba and blocking the pass. Terrible goalkeeping and it's not the first time he's let low shots close to his body get past him so he needs to work on that. The 2nd is bad organization and blind panic. If you freeze it at the point of the header our entire team, yes all 11 players have been drawn to the ball and are in view on the right hand side of the goal as we're looking at it. All it needed was someone on the back post to hook it off the line and game won. Also Rossler was thinking too much about the next game with his substitutions. Just focus on the here and now and get the result not trying to manage players game time. At least Antenucci and Wood look like they could form a useful partnership so not all doom and gloom, just so frustrating.
Morning all ... once again young legs faded and hurt us, I'll explain ... for their first goal, Phillips should have bottled up their player with the ball in front of our back four, but a tired attempt at a tackle allowed their man to run straight at our defence which opened up the space for the pass to Agard ... Batty would have snapped their lad in two, Phillips allowed him an easy passage at our defence ... these are the little things that need to be addressed ... the Championship is a brutal division, made even harder by these little clubs playing way above themselves when Leeds are in town ... Cotterill's teams never lie down, we know that, so again I question our Academy kids' stamina when teams are flying at us after 80 minutes Bucks may have a point about Pearson, but he will be expensive and strong willed, so probably not a Cellino man ... Rosler's biggest issue is our Academy kids can't be expected to control games, because right now they can't do it ... this division is unforgiving, and once a weakness is recognised, teams will exploit it ... you can be guaranteed that managers are looking at Leeds to see if Mowatt/Cook/Phillips are our midfield, then they play a high tempo against us, because they don't necessarily need to play tippy tappy, and by 70 minutes the midfield opens up for them and our troubles really start ... we can blame our defence for committing errors, but if your mids are not protecting you and players are flying at you from all angles, you are bound to get pulled around and gaps appear ... we definitely need more quality in midfield Adeyemi showed how running beyond the striker helps ... his run into the box and across the defensive line allowed Wood the opportunity to get his shot away, and also helped to distract the keeper just enough ... we must get mids up to help Wood with his lay offs, and to get more attempts at goal ... even if shots are knocking over a Bovril in row GG, it keeps the opposition feeling under pressure Frustrating ... however, we are still unbeaten in three, of which two were difficult away ties, so not all gloom ... hopefully the boys are hurting, because they will know we should be four points better off so the ability to win games is there, we just have to close games out Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I hope Rosler doesn't just turn out to be another gobshite like McDermott. (remember him with the wider training pitch and the tags on the socks) Now we have the promise of 'heavy metal football' and yet, stats wise, teams are still running all over us. I think he went against his supposed philosophy last night playing safe thinking the 3 points were in the bag and look what happened. What's annoying is that it was against a team who were on a bad run. So what would it be like if the pressure was really on in a game with more at stake. It's a fail from me so far regarding Rosler and he is going to need to pull a few rabbits out of the hat to convince me that he is not just another plodder on the manager merry go round happy to have a job. rant over, lol.
Said it last night on the forum (another ****ing late night), and shall say it here again today, Silvestri is a panic keeper, punches when should catch, but his handling is poor, so ****ing drop him, and tell him he has an injury like he had back end of last season, the useless spaghetti munching prick
K Teams running all over us? Really? We more than matched Burnley and only poor defending and naivety cost us all 3 points. We were coasting the game at Donny till Cooks rash tackle and Reading we were just as good/poor as us. Bristol are the only team who have out played us and no they weren't on a bad run but not having a lot of luck. They stormed league one last season and are not as bad as people try to make out. A point away from home is always good no matter what the circumstances. To start questioning Rosler after four games is pathetic, sometimes I think Leeds fans deserve all they get.
Morning all, search for positives as much as you like, the quality of the opposition so far this season and you have to say 4 points dropped. Glad Wood got his goal but if we had conceded that we would be screaming about poor defending and marking. I do think our first win is not far away, however it is obvious we are once again no better than an average mid table team at best, it pains me to say it because before a ball was kicked I honestly believed we were better than that. Bring in Barton, our season rests on someone of his ability and what he can bring to those around him.
No No No may be obvious to you and Glory but not to me and as for Barton let him go elsewhere for his final PAYDAY I think he is totally over rated give me Aeyemi anyday
Easy throwaway line, Mike, but means absolutely nothing. I believe he's only had 9 reds in his career - less than 1 per season. He is EXACTLY what our midfied needs at the moment.
