OPINION: Are we playing into the Tabloids hands?

Shouldn't the club do themselves a favour now then and come out with a statement?

The noise is deafening and that's why fans are losingt their ****.

If they came out and said the reports about there being no money to spend are wide of the mark and we are actively pursuing a number of players to strengthen the first team.

I'd be quite hhappy with that.

Yes, all clubs are still doing business right down to the wire, but i'd disagree that we're all in the same boat Funk. Some clubs start off on a better footing, we're light years behind most of the EPL and getting the squad together early would have given the likes of Kaboul, Lens & M'Vila time to settle and for DA to get to grips with them. Obviously this applies to everyone but we were always going to be battling in the lower half of the league and needed that advantage IMO.

There is only one bottom line and that is two heavy losses. there is no debate about it. The media has a job to do so what do you expect them to write. Anyone can see your struggling and its up to the club management to try and fix it but until they do they will carry on writing the facts and fans like you will be clutching at straws and burying your heads in the sand crying poor me poor me......

Did you actually read the original post? He said our ex-player shouldn't have gone to TalkSport, giving the media material to plaster our woes all over the back pages, giving the impression of a club in meltdown and serving as a massive "stay away" sign to any potential new players. He didn't say that the media should have reported it differently, or not at all.
