Don't want to concede so many so early in the season

I'll take a close game with a couple of goals and a clean sheet for us though

Preferably at least one offside according to whatever new rule the FA want to introduce

Big Ben is going to chime in London.

I'm going for a 2-1 Liverpool win. Big Ben with a brace.

    P.S. Nice thread <ok>

As somebody said earlier its all about the midfield, 5 man midfield and we are capable of putting up a good fight, anything else and we will likely lose.

Lucas should start but we know that's not going to happen, we have to play a high tempo and not let them play between the lines.
I fear that Rodgers will get this all wrong and that they'll smash us.
Hope I'm wrong and that Rodgers has learned from the mistakes of last season.

I do not know if this game has come too early in the season.Wenger losing another game at home?.<laugh> I doubt it, but when misfortune comes sometime they come in batallion. If that happens, Arsenal fans are goint to call for his head. Brendan Rodgers is yet to win away to Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal. What an opportunity?. Can we surprise gooners?.<laugh>

Not sure if this has been picked up but I find it annoying:

Henderson hadn't trained that much last week because he was injured and took painkillers. Why did Rodgers risk himto play against Bournemouth? We should be able to beat Bournemouth without him.

We need Henderson against Arsenal (well, him, Milner and Can) in the midfield to give us an ounce of battle and dominace in that area.

    3 points is 3 points.

    end of.

guy has to play every game but i suppose you could say it does point to how weak we are in said area.

we are just lucky allen was injured as he was the one bound to play if henderson was rested

He does have to play every game when fully fit. Not when he's hardly trained and been injured.

We have to bring in another midfielder - surely.

you'd think.... but we needed what we needed and now the continuing stroy of gaps still exists. I'd said in May LB was an issue.. we have gomez playing there and moreno challenge to buck up or ship out.. but we got the improtant reinforcements elsewhere.

As of today it looks to me like LFC need to be replacing lucas and Sahko and if one or both go without a replacement purchased we will be well short of options.

I am going for a 3-1 win to the Arsenal, and walcott coming off the bench and score. A red card for Liverpool as well.

    Will be a good game!

is that before or after lovern does for giroud with an elbow?

that's the only scenario where a red will get sent off.. we don't put in hard challenges

If Henderson is not fit I'd actually go with a wildcard in midfield. I'd play texeira and Milner with Can holding. I think Milner has the energy to hustle Coq and texeira has the trickery to get him booked.

I'd have coutinho on the left and Lallana on the right of a 4-3-3. They key though will be to press arsenal high up. I have watched both their games and they seem to dabble too much on the ball. They are easily dispossessed from the back.

I also think if Ox plays Gomez is going to have a torrid time.
