Glad to have 3 points on the board - agree with Mick feel we should have 6 but a good start to the season, 4/6 and through to the next round of the cup. NIce. Will Mick opt to give McGoldrick a start, or the same lineup I wonder? I'd imagine that could be the only change. After watching the highlights ( I know you cannot base a game solely on this ) even more keen for us to sign a good RB. Ideally a relatively quick one! I think the 3 cbs lack a lot of pace also! Same side I'll predict, maybe a 1-1 draw? Win this and that's one hell of a start.
Agreed, it's an encouraging start to the season (bar the injury time collapse against Brentford). I'd like to see McGoldrick and Sears given a run out together. I know Murphy is an important player as he's arguably crucial to our more direct style of play, not to mention his goals last season. However, is it just me or does he look a little distracted? He didn't get in the game at all over the weekend, and I know we can't expect him to be consistent week-in, week-out, but with our options up front, we can afford to experiment. I feel McGoldrick and Sears' pace and skill would unsettle the Burnley back four tomorrow night. I've been rather outspoken on here about our need for a new right-back, so I'll try not to echo my thoughts too much. But yeah, I agree that a new right back is preferable and would certainly provide balance to our defence. 1-1 is a fair prediction, I'm not sure we will beat Burnley who, despite drawing their opening two league games, have some quality players. I'd like to think we can sneak a 2-0 considering our home form.
Haha, maybe more emphasis on 'skill' with McGoldrick. I think he's one of our best dribblers of the ball at the club.
Have to agree that Murph didn't seem to get into the game Saturday and would like to see Sears and Goldy partnering up. With Sears pace and McG's skill it could be interesting. We did really well last season playing Tuesday night home fixtures so I'll also go for a 2-0 win, Sears and Fraser. COYB!!
Goal! Get in Freddie! Assist by Pitman. nice. Are we missing Murph off injured I wonder? Good 3 points to hang on to.
McG makes it two. Get in!!!!! Murphy has to come out of his shell, the others are showing him up right now.
Nice warm glow SD isn't it? When did we last see Town 2nd in the table after just 3 games?! Seagulls being held too.
