He probably was one of our best players last season, but that doesn't make him good, because we were beyond ****. If he's a prem standard player (I don't know) he should be playing in the prem, we are building a squad to consolidate in the championship this season and hopefully begin to kick on after that.
Green is a weak keeper, can't get down to shots close to his feet, doesn't come for crosses and has terrible distribution (scum at home comes flooding back). He is however the only experienced keeper we have, so unless we buy another he's all we've got unfortunately.
We have bid a third time for Bentley the Southend keeper. I suspect that is the deal breaker...no Bentley, Green stays
Evening Standard reporting: Rob Green is confident of agreeing a deal to rejoin West Ham from Queens Park Rangers. The 35-year-old goalkeeper is thought to have told friends he expects to return to Upton Park before the end of the transfer window. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...oin-hammers-before-deadline-day-a2633236.html
The club will sell him and buy a midfielder as we intend to go rush goalie this season Otherwise I fully expect us to resign Joey Barton in goal
The rumours are heating up!! Surely we won't get rid of him without a proven replacement? It must be nonsense. Ramsey said he expects him to be here all season.
why not? We've been letting people go without adequate replacements for ages!! And when Austin goes we won't have a decent replacement for him either!
Because the great Tony Fernandes was in charge before. Now we've got Ferdinand looking over things and I'm hoping he's not as ****ing stupid.
By the way, all sources are saying he's going to West Ham on a free. Then we'd know for sure that the custodians of QPR are bat sh!t crazy.
He's probably on £50k a week and signed in the days before relegation clauses. Last year of contract, at his age no worth much anyway. With the single exception of Faurlin I'd be happy for us to get the pain over with and have a total clear out of all senior players from last year.
