Mac's howler came on the first day of a new glove sponsorship, according to Sky. Maybe it's like golfer who are often awful playing with new clubs.
It was dreadful. The worst he's ever done. If we are serious about promotion then we need a new keeper. Don't think there's a way back for either Mac or Jak.
@bbcburnsy Steve Bruce admits he'll have to consider whether to get a new goalkeeper in after Allan McGregor's howler at Wolves. #hcafc Bizarrely, he also said he wasn't considering a new keeper until today.
I was surprised to see that from Burnsey because Bruce did an extended interview with Sky and didn't say anything like that when asked about McGregor - I think he even said he'll come back stronger.
↑ Wolves vs Hull City 1-1 Highlights http://sportyhighlights.com/wolves-vs-hull-city-1-1-highlights-championship/ I'd read that McGregor had done it again but until seeing this video clip I had no idea what shocker it was. It was a simple cross requiring an easy, basic catch and he cocked it up. I do not feel any confidence in our chances of promotion with him as our No. 1. I hope I'm wrong but think he's liable to cost us too many points.
If we don't then the club have lost all touch with reality. The spine of any team starts with the keeper, at moment our spine looks like it's got ****ing spondylosis!
Sign of the times Lambo. I'm pretty certain that even Steve Bruce can't honestly have any faith in either of our keepers any more. The tragic thing is that he's allowed it to get to this point without doing anything positive about it! Rank bad management for me I'm afraid.
I think in the sky interview bruce said mcgregor had never done anything like that before....ermmm brucey you dropped him last season for making mistakes
In Mcgregor's (I believe) first competitive game for us he punched Fernando Torres in the head to concede a penalty. Then he saved it. And so the madness began...
Thing is, before Lokeren he really hadn't done anything like that. He was excellent for an entire season (came second or third in Player of the Season voting didn't he?) Then suddenly he can't stop messing up. Today's was laughable.
He did. I remember moaning about him in his first season saying he was a calamity and unreliable, and got shot down being told how wonderful a keeper he is. Well, I told you so. He really is ****ing ****. Can't wait to see what Sterling says to defend this one.
Davies got bombed all season for making a few mistakes and he was excellent the previous season ....not that I'm saying anyone has favourites like
