They were hungry at the end but Bruce really needs to get them hungry from the start, unfortunately I don't think that's something he's good at.
1 Davies 2 Odubajo 3 Akpom Dawson misses out thanks to his "come and get me Norwich" interview at the end.
Tough one this. What a midfield general performance from Hayden, he's the real deal, always in the thick of it breaking up play, making great touches and great passes. Can't understand why he was brought off for Meyler who I never even noticed was on the pitch. I was wrong all along about Robertson, some great crossing from the left flank, think every single one found its target, he's a real attacking outlet, should be playing on the wing with such excellent delivery. Clucas looks a steal at £1.3m, skilful, reliable, clever, always makes the right choice. What a player. Akpom showed today what a great team player he is, if Jelavic wasn't so lazy and made some decent runs and gave Akpom some options he could have had a hat trick. Very cool performance from Davies, lacked a bit of desire and looked suspect defensively but made some excellent passes under pressure, never lost his cool once. And McGregor, I think he'll be massive for us this season. A great day for him between the sticks making some truly fantastic saves to keep the score down. With that in mind: 1. Meyler
Strange game. Sometimes very promising. Sometimes very worrying. Could easily have had 3 points and just as easily had none. So a point is fair do's. Davies Dawson Akpom
Football is about taking chances, they didn't take any until our keeper gave them a goal. So a draw was only a fair result if you think our keeper gives them a goal start.
Davies - imperious, best player on the pitch Dawson - solid Odabajo - Akpom misses out due to being greedier than Aluko, though picking a third was a real thinker in all honesty as no one shone other than our 2 CBs in my view
Davies Dawson Odubajo Davies is looking really good this season already, I think he'll win player of the season on here by a mile
Odubajo Akpom Davies We looked massively better once Aluko came on for Elmo. I thought the latter did little. Jela looked a bit more interested but don't like him tearing strips off Chuba. Robertson's play was enterprising but his crossing utterly woeful.
Davies Dawson Akpom Odubaju looks an exciting player who well could win a few games off his own boot when he gets settled in and knows his team mates games
